My pup has hip displaysia and has been perscribed Proxicam. Has anyone heard of it? I'm worried because what I've read about the drug isn't to good.

One of the important takeaways from that is the use of a stomach protectant such as Tagamet to protect the tummy. Check with your vet for dosage but I think for our 100 pound sheepie it was 300 or 400 mg of Tagamet.
Piroxicam was a godsend for our dog.
Can I ask you about your dog's weight and the dosage (how many mgs and how many times per day) your vet prescribed? |
| I'm taking proxicam for my arthirits. Check it out if your vet perscriped it then it should be ok. but check it out. |
