Check out the following article: Old Age Medications for Pain One of the important takeaways from that is the use of a stomach protectant such as Tagamet to protect the tummy. Check with your vet for dosage but I think for our 100 pound sheepie it was 300 or 400 mg of Tagamet. Piroxicam was a godsend for our dog. Can I ask you about your dog's weight and the dosage (how many mgs and how many times per day) your vet prescribed? |
