shaved ears

Because of the mats, the groomer shaved Saffy's ears yesterday. It was entirely my fault for neglecting the mats and I feel horrible. Since I brought her home, she is continuously shaking her head and flapping her ears. There are no visible nicks and I can touch them without her being bothered. They don't feel hot. Are they just feeling sensitive to her? Is there something that can relieve her? Like aloe or some lotion?

Did they give her a bath while she was there? If so, some water may have gotten in her ears. Try cleaning them and see if you get anything out. Otherwise it may just be the new feeling of naked ears and lidocaine based anti-itch type spray should help.
Maybe try rubbing them a little bit at a time to desensitize too.
Our first dog used to shake his head for a day or so after every grooming. :( The groomer plucks the ear hair, and it may be irritated.

I'd give it another day before taking any major action. Just some "palliative" (comfort) measures as Maxmm suggests, if it makes you feel better. I'm not sure how much it will help Saffy.
Thanks for your responses. I tried everything and she seems less flappy and is napping now.
