Getting coat cut

I just adopted a 3yr old, he needed a good bath, I asked the groomer to trim his coat...it's a too little short for me, My main concern is that she cut the hair around his eyes, I have been told that this isnt good for the dog due to thier eyes being so sensitive to light. Is there any truth to this?

any help is good help, thanks

From all that I've been told, this is a myth.

Our 13 year old dog has been in a puppy cut for nearly all of his 10 years with us. His eyes are fine. Now if we could just get his hearing and his legs to work...
