What Dog Breed is Right for You?

I took an online quiz that is supposed to recommend an appropriate dog breed and...

I got Bichon Frise.

Should I be concerned? I might get self-conscious over this!

TO ME, those online quizzes are more appropriate for first time owners. People who want a dog to love, but don't think of taking exercise, size, enerygy level, dominance, dog that's too independent, grooming, etc into consideration. Or people who may not have remembered or considered a breed they're not familiar with.

If you like dogs that are rare...
or in a certain group (herding, non-working, etc)
..or many other factors, those quizzes aren't designed to be that detailed.
HAHAHAHA...well a Bichon is a bit like a sheepie.......... a very little sheepie!!! I believe that every dog is an individual and that it is dangerous to make gemera; statements about any dog. There are some givens, for example if you hate f\grooming you would not want a long haired dog but when it comes to personality it's hard to go by what a breed type is supposed to be.

I always thought Tasker was the typical sheepie but have discovered he is anything but typical.
Yes, I don't put a whole lot of stock in those online quizzes, mind you. I mean, in the same round, I took, 'Which historical lunatic are you?' and the result was Caligula...
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!!!!
Do you have links to the quiz sites? I'm bored LOL
Me too!
me three :D
Come and chat then :D
Here are the links to the online quizzes...

Breed is a Keeshund (OES was number 9).

Famous historical person is : Joshua Abraham Norton, first and only Emperor of the United States of America (?)
Well they got the country right...as some of you may remember I was born in France . Wonder if he was a relative? :excited:

Mine came up as Mad Charles of France. :excited:

98% came up as Bernese Mountain Dog and 94% Old English for the dog survey as the perfect dog for me. Bouvier, Otterhound, and Wolfhound were also on the list.

Mad Marianne and the shaggy baggy boys :D
Boy, I hit this one dead on-- my top percentages were at 96% and OES, Komondorok and Briards were at the top (along with Pulik, Airdales, Bearded Collies, Bouviers and the Kerry Blue Terrier). Guess I've chosen wisely. ;)

Historical lunatic, I'm, not so sure. I was really hoping for Rasputin but I guess Charles the Mad will have to do.
I got 98% OES. Guess I'm okay then :D
LOL

Breed: Great Dane

Lunatic: Charles VI of France
Breed: All of these tied for first: Australian Shepherd, Belgian Tervuren, Polish Lowland Sheepdog, Standard Poodle, and Gordon Setter.

OES got 93% :)

OOps..my lunatic was Charles VI of France, also known as Charles the Mad or Charles the Well-Beloved!
I got bearded collie 98% and OES 97%, so not bad! I also had otterhounds and italian spinone, english setters...

Ha ha ha...I'm Ludwig II of Sweden, the Swan King!
97% OES & my historical lunatic is Charles VI of France.
ROFLMAO Mine said I needed either a stuffed animal or a Chinese Crested.

Should have found that dang survey before I managed to get 3 OES.

And apparently I am Caligula in a prior life. hehehehehe
Lots of us were mad Charles...hmmmmmm
97% bearded collie or golden retriever...95% OES...so Im doing okay too....

I was also Joshua Abraham Norton.....lol...Nicole....
My top dog was Irish Setter. OES was 95%

I LOVE DOGS! :hearts:
Stacy you and I must have something in common.... I too am Charles the VI of France. My #1 dog was a Bernese Mountain Dog with a Great Dane being #2. OES and Maltese were in the top 10, thank goodness!!!
99% OES and Gordon Setter. The Komondor was at 98%.

I was also Joshua Abraham Norton, first and only Emperor of the United States of America.

I hope everyone is bowing in my presence!
I got Collie and Portugese Water Dog. :?

I'm also Caligula. I thought maybe Vlad would come up but there were no blood related questions so I guess that wasn't an option.
My husband was jumping up and down all excited because he was Nicola Telsa. I was Charles Vl of France.
I'm Charles VI too and Anatolian Shepherd???? (where did I go wrong??) Well, at least OES was in the list.
Yeah!!!! 97% OES!!! and Charles VI
I got a mixed bag, 98% OES (heaven) 97% Beardie Collie and 97% Collie and guess what I get in 2 days time, a collie yey !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
All these results are interesting!

Not to harsh on anyone's mellow or anything but...since you already own an OES, you are probably gearing the answers to that breed anyway. Well, unless you happen to be that one woman who posted the note about how they were the worst dogs ever and she couldn't wait to sell her puppies.
That was fun. I have Labs, Miniature Pinschers, a Basset and a Rat Terrier and soon!!! hopefully an OES puppy. So I think I was an unbiased test taker. All my breeds showed up in >85%! That was pretty cool. (the Min Pins were 85 - the rest were over 90%) OES was 93%.

My lunatic person was Joshua Abraham Norton.
My lunatic person is William John Cavendish-Bentinck-Scott, the Fifth Duke of Portland.
100% bearded collie, 94% OES.

Another Joshua Abraham Norton for me 8O who knew the US had an Emperor. Perhaps it's time for a US Empress
I don't know about these tests!

First the face thing comes up with Cousin It for me, then this one comes up with 100% Miniature Doberman Pinscer and 99% OES ! I saved the pics:

husband just came up as Nicola Tessla.......he was a genius and looooney to boot! Loved the part about sending current through Colorado Springs' soil. Probably BBQ'ed a bunch of night crawlers.
