Hi all! We're taking Pip up with us for the first time to my in-laws cabin. It's a 4 hour drive (bleck), in addition we're picking up my BIL and tasking him up with us. So I want to keep Pippin busy and out of Tony's hair, sine he gets to sit in the back with Pippin!

I thought I'd take some of his hollow bones and re-stuff them with something. I'm not sure what though. I don't want to take the kongs, as if they got left up there, I'd never see them again... Not such a big deal with the bones, they weren't as spendy!

Can anyone give me some ideas for long lasting bone stuffers (pastes etc) that will keep Pip busy and out of Tony's hair?
Frozen stuffing would work well and be slow(er) release. I plug the small end of our puppy kong and fill with some kibble, cheese and water and put in the freezer. The kibble soaks up the water and swells and then freezes. Seal it up with peanut butter before serving to make it extra-enticing. I'm not sure how you'd do that with a hollow bone if it's hollow at both ends, but it may be worth a try.

Maybe Pip will sleep in the car?
My boys fall asleep the minute the car gets into gear so you might not need anything to distract him.
Hi,

I either stuff mine with peanut butter or cream cheese. I also stuff in kibbles in there too. Really like Steph's idea!

Ginny, you're lucky, mine never sleep but enjoy watching out the window. (Reason I got the van with three seats so they all have their own window seat.)

That is too cute!

As for fillers, I heard a good one is to block the ends with pb and pour chicken broth in the middle. Freeze for a tasty treat Wink

I'm not sure if it will work with a bone but I thought it sounded interesting!
