Things do happen for a reason:)

So my dilemma has solved itself. Gary and I went to see Cash on Tuesday and while there were a few cute dogs and him to look at I just didn't have the same feelings about him as I did when we met Sophie (there was some concern we wouldn't be able to get her and I cried for a quite awhile that night over her). When you come in the shelter there is a line of cat cages and when we went through this creamy paw came out after my husband Gary. Well, Gary loves playing and talked to him for a few minutes. Well, all night we couldn't stop thinking and talking about him. After some major thought we decided with the room we have and Sophie's "center of the world" attitude a cat would be a better fit at this point in time. Last night we went back to see him and when they tested them both. Needless to say, within an hour we had a new member of the family. His shelter name was Kingfish, but Gary and I name our pets and my orchids italian names because our last name is Bianchetti (he's 1/2 italian). So his new name is Alberto Tomba. He and Sophie kept me up all night last night chasing each other around but have finally gotten used to each other and are sleeping on the couch. I will post a pic of him in a minute.

Thank you to everyone who helped me with figuring out what I wanted. While I still want an OES more than anything in the world I know that right now I need someone who won't take up so much time and money. Hopefully, once law school is done I can get one:)

Awwww too bad the timing isn't right at this particular time. We were in our 30's and had just bought our first home when we got our first sheepdog after me wanting one forever! I know exactly what you mean!

Keep in touch with us! Maybe you can keep connected by helping out with any sheepie rescues that come through your area, fostering or transporting, or pulling ones from a shelter. Be sure to contact a few rescues and offer up your help!
What a lovely outcome! I am looking forward to seeing pics of the two together.
Ditto, we need pictures :D

When the time is right then I hope all your dreams come true
Congratulations on your new additon!!! Alberto Tomba huh? Wasn't he an Olympic skier or something??
Alberto is beautiful! I'm glad you found a good fit for your family.

:clappurple:
Aw...so great :D
Thank you all!

Sophie seems to have gotten her self a play friend. We will definetly keep in touch. I love all of the stories and pictures you guys have!:)

Raechel and the gang!
Love the name Alberto Tomba!! Yup, perfect name as kitties tend to be very agile and love "catting" around. :D

Your furkids are gorgeous, I enjoyed clicking on your photos.

Glad to hear another one saved from a shelter. Good for you!
