Greetings from Savannah, GA

Hello,

I am new to the forum and have been enjoying it very much. I do not currently have an OES but I have been researching rescue dogs and when the right one comes along, I intend to offer him a home!

I am a 30 year old artist/educator. I recently graduated from the Savannah College of Art and Design with an MFA in Painting. I also work for the college as a Portfolio Review Manager in the scholarship center. Besides art-related anything, interest include, but are mot limited to: obscure music, trash movies and boring books.

Thanks to those of you who have already shared stories and answered questions in my posts and I look forward to a time when I can return the favor.

Regards,

Kevin

OES are a man made breed, and so far from wild I really do not think they could survive if "in the wild".
No way... their hair would become so matted, their mobility would be ruined by the mats, the skin would become infested, their ears infected...

We've seen what they look like after a year or so of neglect. It's not pretty.
Clyde can't even function without treats or get up in the morning on his own. He won't be trying Outward Bound anytime soon. ;)

Welcome to the forum! Savannah's an awesome school. My assistant is finishing her degree at the Center for Creative Studies in Detroit so art and art schools are a regular topic of conversation for us!

Obscure new music or obscure old music (old meaning within the last 25 years!)?
My poor girl Rags' coat was one huge entire matt when I rescued her.
It took 6 1/2 hrs to shave her down...with breaks.
The people had no idea on how to brush her... so she was not in the wild, but without grooming...etc...it's just not a pretty sight!! I cannot even imagine how awful one would look that had been in the wild for an extended period of time.
Just want to say Welcome Kevin and Greetings from the Land downunder

I hope your dreams come true and you have a sheepie to love very soon. :D

Although they might not survive in the wild, they are the best as a family member in the right home

Probably like Bear. ;)
Welcome to the forum, Kevin!!

I know you don't have your sheepie YET, but if you feel like making a little road trip, join us in Winston-Salem, NC on Saturday Sept 9th for a sheepie picnic!! :D

There'll be plenty of sheepies there so you can have some "hands-on" time playing with them! :D
Their uprights are a pretty fun crowd, too.

If you're interested, PM me for directions!
Welcome.
