HELP!! Rags won't let me trim her butt

I have tried and tried to trim the area under her little nubby tail, the hair covering her butt. She clamps her nubby down and I cannot lift it.
I am scared I will break it trying to force it up.
Suggestion please!!!

"clamps her nub down" - made me laugh...sorry

How long is her nub? Could you do little trims at random times when she isn't expecting it?
I'm sorry... that's kinda funny.

Maybe you could sneak up on her when she's sleeping or very relaxed. Or if she doesn't freak out at the sound of clippers you could try trimming right up under her nub even when she's clenched and not worry about cutting her (I'm assuming your clippers have a guard so the blades can't break skin).

That's a toughie! Good luck! Barkley's nub isn't long enough for him to do anything with it so thankfully we won't have this problem.
She must have been docked really long! I'd try the clippers too, faster, safer than scissors with a wiggly dog.
LMAO I knew this topic would make people laugh.
Her nub is about 2 1/2 - 3 inches. Perfect size for covering her butt.
See picture below to see nubby size

Sorry for the butt shot...
I have tried sneaking up on her. I just walked past her and she had it clamped down.

Luckily Rags has NEVER had dingleberries (knock on wood).
But I would like to trim the hair since it's a bit longer and I just cut a nice poop shoot but I couldn't get all the way up.
She's a fighter

I have also kept my scissors on my computer in case she does happen to walk by  I think she would be better with the scissor. I think the vibration of the clippers bothers her in that area.
That is a long nub. Maybe give her a nub massage until she relaxes and then trim a tiny bit with the scissors? :D

Izzie's nub barely shows, so I don't have the same problem.

If you force it will it break? Anyone know?

On the topic of nubs...When Izzie is happy and shaking her bum and nub...I say she is nubtastic...so I guess Rags is very nubtastic...having such a large nub and all.
lol...when Panda wants to be petted there I call it "nubbin' rubbin'" :D

E..I dont think you can break it..is it that strong that you cant tickle it up?....what if you stand over her backward...
Amanda,
Rags is very nubtastic

Darcy,
I think you can break it... it is bone. 8O I hope someone that knows will help me out here. I tried tickling it  but she just clamped down the nubby even harder.

Ron......EWWW!!
Don't blame me, I was just posting it for Ed.
Ha Ha Ha what a character, the nub butt clamper.

Elissa you have a grooming table now, lay her down on her side flat, then get the scissors and trim up sideways to underneath her nub, then roll her over and do the other side. Might help doing it that way as she will be more ralxed for you. 8) WE HOPE LOL

Thanks for the new nickname for her Lisa. 8O

I tried getting her on the grooming table the other night and she fought with me while hubby laughed at me . I finally gave up and cornered her with the clippers.
