Yesterday during our tennis ball game, Pirate was running full speed ahead! He finally realized he was getting terribly close to me, but it was too late for him to stop. And I was watching Keira catch the ball and didn't see him charging.

BAM! He slammed right into my left knee! That is the second time he's done that!!!

I iced it right away, but its still swollen and sore (I've got old knees Crying or Very sad ), and I have big black and blue mark on my leg.

He is just soooo enthusiastic, bless his heart. And such a big klutz! A 90 pound dog going 100 miles an hours HURTS! Excited
Maybe Pirate and Pippen can start their own Sheepdog football team Laughing
Panda can be the quarterback...she did that to me last week...
Keira said she'd be the cheerleader! But she wants pom-poms (to chew!)

Their team can be the Sadistic Sheepies Twisted Evil !
Annie can do the loud mouth cheers! Fozzie will be the ball collector (is there such a thing in tennis?)
Just remember ONE important thing.....If your sheepie runs at you full tilt.....make sure your legs are spread FAR enough away from each other.....Panda HAS to run through your legs and bark at the same time...hence, my collision with her.....
Bosley will be glad to join Pirate. He is great at running into things and knocking them over. Rolling Eyes

Dixie will stay on the sidelines as a referee until something needs taking care of. Then she will run in and put the boots to whoever is out of line! Twisted Evil
Hey! I've seen Foz run into a lake (against his parents approval)...I think he should be the water boy!
Don't let the dog slam into your knees when they're straight! Bend the knees forward to protect the knee if you have any time at all!

I'm not talking about kicking your dog, I'm just talking about a defensive posture; natural instinct is to lean forward with the body over the knees, but the correct way to save them is to bend them as if you were going to squat down.

Plus, a few times after running into you and your bent knees, maybe Fido will learn not to run into you and injure you that way.

I'm sure others will disagree......

EDIT: typos, typos, typos.
I agree Ron!! It makes a much better fall Very Happy
Oh sure Ron, NOW you tell me (as I sit here with my knee throbbing). Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad
the back of my knee send the front of your knee it's regrets. I got the old tackle and grab with the paw. Uggh, our puppies!!!
Ouch!! I hope your knee feel better soon.
If it's any consolation Deb...Ron may have saved the rest of us from having sore knees! Very Happy

Sorry you had to be the guinea pig..and hope you feel better soon. Did Pirate appear "sheepish" after what he did?

Marianne and the boys
He didn't have a clue. He looked at me like "D'uh" Let Me Think About That ?

My knee is much better today Dancing Banana
Hope the knee is getting better ??

Like Panda, Ollie has to run though my legs as quick as he can, but always bangs into my knees !!
