weird going ons at my house.....

Im toatally freaked out.....I get home from work....start pulling stuff out for dinner....let panda out...tell her cisco is coming for dinner...she is racing around like a mad woman...running to the front bay window in the dining room and then to the backyard door....that is the set up.....soooo, she runs into the dining room and barks....I think cisco is here...as I walk into the dining room, I notice a WET spot of blood on one of my yellow velvet chairs...it is on the seat closer to the front right side....and I notice a teeny tiny spot on the floor about 3 feet away.....so of course my first thought is "oh no what did panda do to herself"...

I get on the floor with her, check all of her paws, mouth, bottom, belly...everything....NOTHING!!?? So then I did a check on myself...NOTHING!!?? Where did this come from? I cant find any more spots on the floor, only in those 2 locations....Im baffled!! The spot on the chair was pretty big....(btw...I think I ruined by scrubbing it :? ) It is not that close to the kitchen and I didnt swing the leg of lamb around or carry it into the dining room......

I just think it is odd, strange and freaky...and go figure, Brian is at work tonight....I will probably sleep with one eye open.....

Is it possible that she's in heat?
Wow, that is freaky. It would scare me to death. Hmm...I think tonight would be a hotel night for me! lol
Whoa that is strange, hope you solve the mystery real freaky. 8O
That's strange... I hope it's not blood from Panda..or you!!
Darcy- Could she have bitten her tongue? The saliva would probably dissolve most of it when you went to check her.

Let us know!!!
Lark
For next time the stigmata strikes your house, try using hydrogen peroxide on the blood.

I think I'd rather have the haunting than the heat theory right now. Maybe she spontaneously regenerated her reproductive organs. Did you pay the vet bill when she was spayed? Maybe he snuck in and replaced them!! 8O
Oohhhh....that's weird, Darcy! 8O
My first thought was that she had caught some cute little furry animal and killed/ ate it. Of course that's probably because my cat has done this to me before.
Well, I think it's pretty clear that someone was murdered in the house. Have you checked the backyard for any freshly dug areas. Ooh, or maybe the trunk of your car?
Wow - sooooo have you solved the case yet?
Do you have mice? Bleeding could be a mouse dieing from poison.

Yes, hydrogen peroxide works the best. Cleaned my mother's carpet with it after severe nosebleed. Saturate a spot, wait until the fizzing stops, dap up. OxyClean is along the same line.
Did you survive the night?

I go with the maybe bit her tongue too- hopefully it is not mice as someone mentioned.

Good luck! If you solve, let us know!

Jill, you kill me...

Darcy, did you survive? Did you figure it out?
No, havent figured it out...yes panda has no girly parts left..I paid the bill, so I dont think the vet re-installed them..I checked her tongue and no sign of bleeding...also no blood on her muzzle....

would she have eating..god forbid...a mouse or such? Not that I think we have them...but yuck....

I was up at 5:30 this morning....I didnt sleep well...go figure...I think I have watched too many horror movies...I even checked the ceiling to see if the blood dripped from there..(old black and white movie...House on Haunted Hill) 8O

Now you guys tell me about peroxide and oxiclean...I have both :?
That's scary, I wouldn't have slept at all.

Try the oxyclean first, just dilute some with water pour on and dab. I've actually found this Baby Oxyclean Stain Remover and it removes blood from everything. Its in the laundry section at the grocery store.
well considering that the damage is already done....I used bisell upolstery cleaner which worked, however I also used the scrubbie end and scrubbed some of the velvet off 8O
Darcy,

I am going to send Sam to your house. He barks at every shadow and slightest sound. It is unnerving to hear him bark at 3 a.m. when you are fast asleep.

If you have anything going on at your house - he'll let you know.

Don't scare her! Did they catch that serial killer yet?
No 8O and that was a thought...that he some how got in the house and hid........
Mystery not solved, whoa something spooky happening there 8)

Poltergeist 8O
Wynn, Id love to borrow Sam...Panda sleeps through everything...or she hightails it to her safe corner if she is scared...no help there......
Are you absolutely certain no juice from last night's leg of lamb landed on the chair? 8O
we didnt eat in the dining room, but at the kitchen table. And even though I am now second guessing myself...I have never brought uncooked bloody meat into the dining room before and I dont remember doing that last night...that obviously would be the most logical.....im going to go home and check the ceiling again 8O
Hmmmm...... Could this be punishment for having that little lamb for dinner???

I'm telling you, I think it was Slim!
I don't know how I missed this thread....
Wow Darcy, that is really weird... I'd be worried maybe someone DID break in, maybe Panda bit them and they took off? Ok, I've been watching too much tv...
Stacey-You don't have to watch tv to get wierd ideas. You are the one that had someone walk in your house while you were watching tv!

Darcy-I think that you are being punished for cooking the little lamb instead of letting Panda play with it.

I still think Panda bit her tongue and it had closed up by the time you looked.

No kidding eh! LOL I had forgotten about that! LOL
WHAT?? You had lamb and didn't invite ME?? 8O

I'm still thinking the culprit is Panda.......maybe in all the excitement she had a minor nosebleed. The barking is troublesome tho', I'd be more worried about something creepy and small in the house than ran or slithered away.

Now that ought to keep you awake at night
Do dogs get nose bleeds???? From what?? And no slithering or mini scampering thing better NOT be in my house!!

ps. Susan, I would have gladly invited you...but you cruise through town too fast! :D
Yes, doggies get nosebleeds and with their black nose, it's hard to see until you find blood or see it on their white hair under their nose. Most often the cause is injury. Granted in major injury nosebleeds are common, but you can also get blood with a good hard whack....like running into a harder object.

Now, nose bleeds can also indicate major health problems, so if it is Panda and she continues to have bleeds, consult a vet.

(I'm guessing she whacked herself in her running about)

Alas, Darcy.......no more quick trips to AZ.  Mom moved to Denver last Sunday. I'm going to miss my mini vacations in AZ.
I didnt see any blood on her muzzle, nose or anything...and wouldnt I have found more than one spot of blood? I have been watching her anyway...call me a little over protective, but better to be safe than sorry.
