I Can't Speak English!

Today is hubby birthday so I go to pick up his cake. I just looked at it and said this is not what I ordered. I ordered a cake that had a "Road" and a "Car". (He loves cars) What did I get? A cake with Yellow Roses and a Hummer on it that says Happy Birthday Joe. 8O No I ordered a Road they think I said Rose and apparently around here they think a Hummer is a car.

My husband, the proper speaking English, Brit that he is can't stop laughing at his yellow roses Hummer cake. He says that with my heavy Southern Accent that I don't speak English. 8O

Ha Ha Ha that is so funny, just what a bloke wants a pretty yellow rose on his cake LOL

Your husband thinks you don't speak English I wonder if he has ever heard the true blue Aussie slang, to others it is a foreign language
Thanks for the laugh! That is very funny!
... at least they got his name right! :bdcake: :bdcake: :bdcake: Could have been a Yellow Submarine :-)

Happy Birthday, Joe!!!
LMAO
Happy Birthday to Joe! :bdcake:
Too funny!!

Happy Hummer and Rosie Birthday Joe
  Next time, write it down

yes, I have heard Aussie slang, couple of the professional bull riders were notorious for using Aussie slang just to watch us Yanks' jaws drop. I found if I just let it roll over me, I was understanding it far faster than people trying to understand each and every word. After awhile it all made sense. Of couse it helped if they put their false teeth in first!

Husband ran into a couple of Aussie tourists at White Sands just the other day. Alas, Paul wants to understand each work, plus he's deaf in one ear. Somehow he got in the swing and had a jolly good chat with the blokes.
Hey, at least they got the Joe part right!
That's really funny!! I'll bet he'll remember this cake, though, far better than if you'd gotten what you ordered.
Does he also get a bouncy castle for the front yard at his party?
Did you tell them he is a foreigner? Maybe they thought he was from Texas.....yellow roses and a big car.
LOL...at least he'll always remember that cake :)
Nothing says "You're in America" better than roses and a big SUV
That was the fuuniest thing I have read in weeks!!
Very funny - roses and a hummer. :P Well, I hope that even though it didn't look like you wanted too... that it tasted good.
Happy Birthday Joe!!!!!!!!! :bdcake:

As the honorable gentleman knows, its what's inside that
counts!!!!!!!!

So what flavor was the cake???

Maybe a mini cooper with a birthday cake on top for next birthday.
(Sorry gave the surprise away   )
That is hilarious... LOL
Hope he had a great bithday :)
