My Hubby took me as they told me not to drive.
We got there and they took me in asap.
BPwas187/120 pulse 129.
They gave me a EKG right away.
I have to go for a stress test when my new insurance comes in, and blood work
I am on 3 scripts
Losinapril ( spelling)
I am so stressed out that I can,t think half the time.
I am scared I might have a heart attack or stroke.
|You're in good hands now - there will be a lot of people watching out for you - so take a deep breath and focus your energy on an activity you like - say - sheepies?! Good luck with everything coming up and let us know how it goes.|
|Thank goodness you went in for a checkup. I hope they gave you dietary recommendations too? Changes in your diet can make a huge difference. No more salt for you!|
|Glad you saw a Doc, hope your blood pressure settles down and try to relax, stress can really play havoc with the blood pressure.
Hugs deanna & feel better soon.
|Glad that you finally went to the doc....like sue said...reduce salt intake, take a deep breath...and play with the dogs...that should help calm you (at least take your mind off of things for a few moments at a time)
|So glad you went to the doctor. Mom had a similar scare a while back. She went to the doctor for a "cold" and she sent her straight to the ER. Turns out her BP was high! She's on a few meds too but I don't know the names.|
|Glad you went to the Dr. That was smart. Good thing they gave you meds to reduce your blood pressure and stress.
Once it's had a chance to kick in you should feel alot better.
I know it is very stressful when you are sick and takes a big toll on your peace of mind. Hang in there, you are doing everything you can. And, hug that Sheepie. That is known to reduce blood pressure.
I hope your insurance kicks in soon so you can finish up with your tests.
Thinking about you! Feel better
|Glad you sought medical help for your problems. I'm sure your doctors will get things sorted out and you'll be good as new soon.
Let us know the results of your stress test. We're concerned about you, Deanna
|Deanna, so glad you went to the dr. I know it's scary right now, but take comfort in the fact that once the meds kick in, you'll start feeling better. ((((((((((((((HUGS))))))))))))))))) to you. I'll keep you in my thoughts and prayers.|
|Glad you finally went- now you are on the right path and have a "plan" of what to do... take care of yourself and do what the doctor says!!!
You just gave this Cardiac Nurse a shudder!!!!! Glad you went to the Dr!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
|So glad you went to the doctor. I hope the meds kick in soon!|
|Oh gosh.. I'm also glad that you went to see your doctor.
But increased heart rate/BP also has to do with your lifestyle
(stress, food, mood, activities)
So take it easy, think happy sheepie thoughts!!
|Wow! Glad you got to the doctor and are now being monitored.
As said, reduce your salt, increase your water, reduce or eliminate caffeine (and not sub lots of decaf, it will cause your chloesterol to jump). Cut back the sugar. Dang, next I'll say watch to booze.......which with the meds is a good idea anyway.
Walking and regular breathing or swim (use a snorkel, it helps keep the BP down). Yoga could help with breathing as well as stretch tight muscles.
Are you prone to panic attacks? Anyway, glad you got yourself to the doc!! See, they were worried too! That's not a good sign...........
|Glad you went Deana, you've been through so much and I guess it has to come out somewhere - here's hoping you have a speedy recovery.
Lots of love
|Glad you went to the doctors deana, sending you lots of (((((((((hUGS)))))))
Kim & Maizie
|I was wondering how you were doing...so glad you went to see the dr...|
|Has anyone heard from Deanna?|
|You know, I was just thinking about her today too! I hope all is well!|
|I got a call from Deana yesterday. She's still in the process of getting all her meds straightened out and hasn't been on the computer much lately. I'm sure she'd appreciate everyone's positive thoughts, PM's, e-mails or phone calls.|
|Tell her we miss her, hope she feels better and we are waiting to hear from her!!!|
|I've been wondering about her, too. Thanks for the update, Nita.|
