Isn't it though? I mean look I can't even be bothered to log in :P
But I have an excuse-I've been packing all day. I hate moving!
where is everyone? we're losers.
It hasn't really been very active the last couple of days. I've been trying to put off writing my business research project paper, but I'm running out of excuses! lol The research journal is very boring though, and I'm not at all excited about having to read it. :/
We had the Michigan picnic today so bunch of us are beat. We'll have pics up soon, though.

Well, it wasn't dead ***here*** yesterday! My son slept over Friday night, so Tony could help him move from Wrigleyville to Logan Square yesterday. All of the sudden, around midnight,I get a phone call from daughter (U of I student) that she is in Chicago for the Pitchfork (whatever!) concert on Saturday, and she and 3 friends were heading to our house to sleep.

So.....around 2 Saturday morning they all pile in the house, waking up my son, my husband, the dogs and the cats!!! CRAZY CRAZY COLLEGE STUDENTS :excited: The whole house was filled with life! And I loved it!!!! :hearts:

We all went back to bed around 3, and then Big Tony (husband, whose really not very big) and little Tony (son, whose bigger than big Tony), the dogs, the cats and Mama (moi!) got up to start the move!

It was dreadfully hot here, so I packed up a cooler of ice and Gatorade for them, made them breakfast and they were off by 7 am. I went off to do my grocery shopping, my target shopping and came home to do laundry.

10:30 the midnight visitors started getting up. Yep...everyone wants french toast (gotta have powdered sugar on it!) and bacon. So I started cooking again. Do you KNOW how grumpy college students are in the morning? Half of them didn't want to go to pitchfork, cuz of the heat, and the others did want to go. Hey...that's their problem!

In the meantime, the dogs were having the time of their lives playing with all the kids and stealing bits o'bacon!

Everyone was gone by about 2(yes, they went), and Big Tony got home from the move. Tired, hot, sweaty but with gifts! He went to his old neighborhood and went to the Italian butcher (fresh Italian and Polish sausage) and the Italian bakery (let me just say "YUM")

We took it easy pretty much the rest of day. Had a big spagetti dinner (homemade, of course). And cuddle up on the couch afterwards.

No, not dead here at all. But I gotta tell you...I loved it!!!!!!

We were at the Beach yesterday in Oceanside, CA. with my husband's family :D Hayley went into the Ocean for the first time.
She loved it!! It was also a first for me.... I have never swam in the Pacific Ocean before. It has always been so rough. But not at this beach.
It was perfect. We BBQ'd on the beach and had a wonderful time and stayed until sunset....even though we didn't see it thanks to clouds.
It was a wonderful day!!
I was in Vegas.
Can't tell you about it though, what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas
i cleaned house from top to bottom....moved EVERYTHING and washed all of the wood floors on my hands and knees (1500 sq ft)...Im pooped and Im really sore...I have come to the realization that I dont work out hard enough.....

everyone elses day beat mine :(

Deb, My boyfriend lives in Logan Square so I am there all the time, and we almost went to the Pitchfork music fest today but it was soo hot and I am still jetlagged... wouldn't it be funny if I knew your kids!
Saturday I went to the grocery store, got my hair cut, put the first coat of paint on the kitchen walls, covered the 6 switchplates in the kitchen with wallpaper (this the LAMEST thing anyone did this weekend), went to the barn and showered my horse and brushed him and made sure he wasn't overheated. Went home and collapsed. Guess what I did Sunday? The same thing, except I didn't get my hair cut. And 2 loads of laundry.

The a/c never shut off yesterday.
