Hello from Mexico

Hi, I am Luis GarcĂa-Pimentel, from Guadalajara, Mexico.

I have always liked dogs and there's always been dogs at my parents'. I am computer and systems consultant.

Last week Luz my wife and I finally got Fiona, a 7 week female, from a friend of us who's a vet and OES lover. The choice of OES was because their lovely personalities and their openness to strangers, humans or otherwise. We had the opportunity to choose her from a litter of ten, and the choice seems to be perfect. She can be independent but at the same time loves human company.

This is the first dog from Luz, but she's very enthusiastic and also an animal lover in general, She even havs a pair of muscovy ducks in our yard, and this sunday they hatched nine little ducklings.

Fiona is great! So far we've had no single soiling accident and she is merry and happy and we are too. Only the first few nights I didn't get much sleep but right now it's only a trip outside at 3 am and that's it. Of course she wants to chew stuff all the time but given some patience and enough interesting toys I expect she will soon chew only her toys. She is also a beuty (I might be a little enthusiastic, but I really like her black ears)

This site is also great, with of OES loving people and good chat and tips.

You can see a few pictures of Fiona in the 1st puppies album. Then you will fall in love too. I will post a few later on on my own webserver with links for you to see.

See you around

Luis

Welcome! She's is adorable and I love the action pictures. Whenever I try to take action pictures, my sheepdogs are already out of the picture when the camera snaps. All I get are tushies (butts) 8O

What a doll! Welcome
Aw! She's adorable. Welcome!
Welcome - I love the action shots!!
Thanks for your warm welcome. It appears to me that there's a lot of funny people around here.

It seems to me that the actions shots called a lot of attention. I'll tell you my little secret. It helps a lot having a camera with the burst shot feature. You can call the dog and shot 8-10 pictures in seconds, and some of them turn out really nice. I can reccomend the Canon Digital Rebel XT, it's a lot cheaper now than it used to be and is an 8MP Digital SLR. It also accepts other canon lenses, etc. It's a lot of camera for the buck.

See you around!
Welcome Luis. Your baby girl is absolutely adorable and can't wait to see more pictures as she grows.
Welcome to the group. She is a cutie!
Welcome Luis, Luz and Fiona, she is a sweetie, greetings from Australia and look forward to hearing all about fiona as she blooms and grows. :D

Fiona is a stunning beauty!! Welcome to the forum!
TY all. She's already nicknamed Hurricane Fiona. She has lots of energy. Last weekend we took her with us and some friends to a mountain town called Mazamitla. At first she was afraid of a lot of stuff, like slopes (she had a hard fall when we had just arrived, but she got smarter after that), crows, horses, cats and other things she saw for the first time.

She behaved very well and was very nice to all my friends. We had a little poo accident in the cabin, but it was really my fault as I did't realize of her intentions as she tried to go outside. She was also very quiet and well behaved in her kennel and in the car. Overall a great experience for us and her!

We also took her to a long walk, but we took a backpack to put her in when she got tired or scared. It turned out pretty well. You can see the pictures.
Wonderful pictures! Looks like you had lots of fun. She looks so cute riding in the backpack... she won't be able to fit in that for very long!
That is sooo cute....I remember when Panda used to fit on my lap. I drove all around town with her there...and I also remember the first time we tried to do that and she didnt fit 8O .....lol...those are priceless pics!
I just saw your pics and I LOVE THEM. She is really really cute. She's so little. Just steals your heart.
Ha Ha Ha what a darling little poppet, the backpack pictures are soooo cute. Like to see you try that in a few months time 8O

What a good little girl she was when you went away to the mountains.
Welcome!!
What a beautiful little girl you have. :D
