Pepsi and Rags Brag!

After sometime of working with the dogs, Pepsi finally got into the pool with a little coaxing. I usually had to drag him in. This time he walked right with me and stepped right in. Later I called him and he came right in. :clappurple:
Rags who has also needed coaxing followed Pepsi's example just a few minutes after I called him.
Then after they had gotten out and were running around Billy said, "Rags & Pepsi in the pool" and they got in 8O
Happily hanging out and the stairs with us. No swimming for either of them though.
Finally my dogs know how to cool off 8) !!!

Ha Ha Ha cool pooches.

Love your avatar, that's some big drinking bowl 8)
That's great! And so obedient too!!
Thanks Lisa and Val :)
Val, Harley used to do it on command too. We'd say "Harley, In the pool!" and he would go right on and sit on the second step. It took Harley close to two summers to learn. So the Sheepies are much smarter.
:D I think that they also see each other doing it and they want to do it just because the other one is.
I've got to remember to get a photo.
Today was their first time.....so I have to remember to bring the camera out with us tomorrow.
Is the sheepie pool party being held at your house this year Elissa? If so the boys want to know where's their invite???? 8O
oops sorry ....

the boys and the girl
Those who are willing to brave the outdoor heat of the Southwest are all welcome to come and swim! We have a very dog friendly pool. It was only 106 today.... But it's a dry heat. Felt like 80 degrees. lol
I think that makes me an official Desert Rat, now that I think of 106 is not that hot. 8O
Save us a place in the pool!! :yay: Drez wouldn't wait for an invite to go in, either. As long as there's a pool and an easily accessible way to get into it - she's there!! She would NEVER get out either, unless pushed out!

Great first step getting them to stand on the steps. Next comes sitting on the steps, then comes swimming!! :cheer:

I remember when we went to Vegas in the summer and the temp was 104, but it didn't feel that hot. Guess it's true that the dry heat doesn't feel as hot as the humid heat. But when you get to a certain temp - hot is hot!! :phew:

Pictures are a MUST!!! :plead: You take such great pics anyway! BTW, I had the model # wrong on my camera. It's an Olympus SP-500UZ.

That's great!
Way to go Pepsi and Rags! :clappurple:

Please post pictures ASAP. I have no access to a pool for Harry (other than his baby pool) but am anxiously awaiting the dog swims at the area pools at the end of the season.
That's great! :go:

Count us in! lol Tommorrow, our heat index is supposed to be a humid 110 - actual temp, 102. It's "only" 103 today with a heat index of 106. I think we're going to die of heat strokes tomorrow... :)

Oops, I forgot the most important part! Congrats on the new trick. I bet they are too funny in the pool. I'm sure Jasper would love it. He's in a "hibernation" stage right now, not doing anything but laying around and eating.
I just uploaded some pics.....
Here they are
This first one I was standing by Pepsi. I tried to move away and he didn't see me and went to get out. They are both used to coming in with us.
But neither of us were in there.

And Miss Rags

Hubby took the pictures....that's why you can't see their faces.
Too cute! Hopefully soon, they'll get used to it and go for a swim around the pool :)
That's great. Sheepies are so smart. We tell Hannah "Come Swimming" and then she comes and lays on the step. Copper doesn't like to get in but he will drink the water when no one is watching.
It's funny... Pepsi wouldn't go anywhere near the pool last summer.
Now he is barking to go out there. 8O
Hayley stands at the backdoor holding a waterwing and Pepsi is standing beside her barking. lol
Hayley is a water rat now. She jumps into the pool. Swims around.
She just loves it.
Ryan is really going to be shocked when he gets homes and sees the dogs in the pool and Hayley swimming.

Ahhh... One more month without Ryan 8)
I miss him, but I really enjoy being able to sleep late
I also need the break. He gets so hard to handle.
