him from my 4 cats also as they are very nervous around him as hes quite large for 3 months .any ideas on how to get the cats and dog to be more sociable and not as scared of the dog he wont hurt them i no he just wants to play but his size is a issue i think .
still trying to train him pee wise seams when hes excited he just pees when i come home .

Congratulations!! I hope you will post some pictures.

For the cats, I would make sure there is a space that they can go to get away from your puppy -- perhaps you could use a baby gate to keep him contained or perhaps put a kitty door in a room that is set aside as a cat santuary. As long as the cats have some place safe to go, they can meet the puppy on their own terms. I also did alot of things to make sure my dogs knew that cats were first in the hierarchy - such as by greeting and feeding the cats first. In addition, keeping your puppy on a leash while you are in the house will help you prevent him from chasing the cats.

My Maggie also sometimes pees from excitement. Make sure you don't scold him for it because that will really confuse him. Instead just try to minimize the sense of enthusiasm about the greeting. No high pitched squeals of delight to greet your little guy until he gets over this behavior. Just be as quiet and calm as possible and try to ignore him until he settles down. It is hard, but it really does work. You have to tell your friends and family too or they may accidentally trigger the pee.

Good luck!! Let us know how it goes. :)
