Sir McCartney

Well I haven't been here in awhile since I got my puppy in March. I've also been trying to figure out how to post pictures! Finally after losing my precious Nana-Martha over a year ago I finally found a new puppy. Some of you may have read that other thread awhile back about me having problems with the breeder. Everything has been just fine so hopefully if I did this right, here is a very early picture of "Sir McCartney" alias "Mac" alias "Macca".......this was taken when we got home so he's 8 weeks old here. He will be 6 months old on the 21st so as soon as I get more pictures uploaded you will see them!

I am so glad you found the perfect dog for you. What a beautiful animal. Please post more and let us know if you have any questions or issues.

Oh and feel free to comment back on our gorgeous sheepies as well.
Thanks, I love all sheepies and would love to have a houseful but guess I'll have to wait till I move on a farm!

I didn't want to pick a new puppy that resembled my Nana-Martha and I think I did pretty well picking my "Mac" from photos that the breeder had posted on the web. Unlike my Nana who had blue eyes, Mac has big brown eyes and I really didn't want another dog with blue eyes. He loves to be loved, jumps on the couch and plows his head into my chest still thinking he weighs 10lbs!

He's gorgeous! :) Thanks for posting the update :)
He sounds like such a sweetie.

And as far as having a housefull be careful what you wish for. 8O 1 1/2 yrs ago we only had 1 sheepie that died due to liver cancer. Then we "rescued" Lucky, and then not quite a year later we "rescued" Sam, and then only 2 months later we "rescued" London.

You may have more room in your house right now than you think.
Macca is one handsome sheepie boy, just love his patches :D

Look forward to more piccys
What a handsome boy :) He sounds perfect!
Here's a question, should I worry that he seems to get hiccups every day? :? I don't remember if my Nana got hiccups when she was a puppy, it was too long ago.

Also it's just about time to have Mac "fixed". I've never had any of my dogs fixed in my entire life and I really have to do it with Mac since my son's dog is a female and she isn't. I'm a little scared, what does this involve, what should I watch for, how long does he have to be away? Any info is appreciated.
He is really cute. I especially love the photo where he is stretched out. What a doll!

I know it's natural to worry when they get fixed. I know because I was a nervous wreck. Every time it has turned out fine.

They aren't allowed to run up stairs or be jumping around or active for a number of days. The doctor should tell you how long. I remember I slept downstairs with them after their surgery. I think usually you can take them home the same day. They are usually groggy and want to sleep alot.

He'll be fine.

Really enjoyed the pictures! Keep em coming. And we love stories too.
Mac is such a cutie. I'm so glad you found him.
He is just precious !
Your Mac is a cutie.

His neuter surgery is a minor one, as far as surgeries go. He will spend most of the day at the vet, but will still be at least a bit groggy - depending on if he was the first case of the morning or near the end. Our vet sends home written post-surgery instructions. You will need to try to keep him quiet and less active for a few days. The pups bounce back really quick - you will be amazed. (They are much better than humans -we take so much longer to recover!)

Good luck with your new furry boy.
Hiccups are normal in puppies. Their insides are growing quickly and aren't always aligned properly. They go away.

Mac is a doll! Hope he continues to snuggle.

Don't worry about the neuter. It's over quickly. He'll be a be wobbly for 12 later.....probably sleep very well that night. Just keep an eye on him to prevent licking and no jumping for a few days.
