WISH ME LUCK!! (Peanut)

At 2:30 this afternoon a family is coming to see Peanut.
They are very excited. The daughter brought her Mom my phone # earlier this morning and told her to call me. lol
The son said.... Can I get dressed now...are you ready to go yet?

The whole family is very excited to meet him.
When I told the woman about the seizures and she said her dad's golden has seizures and that they told me and gently pet him... Awww
Well I told her about the medication that Peanut is on, she said she was going to tell her Dad about it.
I said he was a typical toy poodle...which he is...
I told them about his fighting with Rags and her biting him.
Also about snapping at Hayley when Rags was near by. It's all his Napeleon complex. That he thinks he is Boss.

These people plan of spoiling him.

PLEASE!!! PLEASE KEEP YOUR FINGERS CROSSED FOR ME!!!!

This seems like the perfect home for him. She said she would send me pictures and I could visit whenever I wanted.

It all looks good.

Good luck! I hope it all works out :)
I hope it works out for BOTH of you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Peanut needs a house where he can be "top dog" and you need some peace!!!!
Thanks 8)
I have his Sherpa Bag, AKC records, health records and am going to find his crate now.
They seem set on getting him. Please let this work out!!
When will they let you know? Do you think they will take him "on the spot"? Will you miss him, a little???
They will take him on the spot.
They live about and hour from here.
I will miss him. He can be a really sweet dog.
When he's not heckling other dogs.
I've had him since he was 7 1/2 weeks old.
He's 6 1/2 yrs old.
We are doing what's right for him. He is getting hurt here. I don't want him dead. I want him happy.
You are doing the right thing, I'll keep my fingers crossed!!
My fingers are crossed Elissa .
Hope it all goes ok :D
They'll be here in an hour and twenty minutes :excited:
I just bathed him, clipped his nails and blowed dried him.
Also trimmed his private area & the poop shoot area.
I ready hope they like him!!!!
Keeping our fingers crossed, Elissa. I hope it all works out. How did these people find out that Peanut needed a home?
Peanut is listed on Craigslist.
They saw the listing! :D
wishing you so much luck!!! i hope it works out!!
OMG HE'S GONE!
I cried...but they are a good family.
They are a military family originally from Louisiana, stationed at 29 Palms.
Peanut is so in love with his new family.
They do have another dog...a female lab. Also the dog spends it's majority of the time outside.
They said their dog is really laid back so there shouldn't be any problems.
But I did say I would take him back in a second. So if they had any problems to let me know.

They are going on a trip to Miami in a couple of months and plan of taking him with them. Good thing I had the Sherpa bag.
I have a feeling he is going to get extremely spoiled. :D
New Mom wanted to get a dog bag to carry him in.

They even paid me a small adoption fee for him...the Sherpa Bag...AKC papers...Crate...etc Even a small supply of Bacopin.
Us folks from Louisiana are just naturally dog crazy!

Seriously though, am so glad you found a good home for Peanut. :yay:
Yey for Peanut....it is sad, but its for the best! I hope he adjusts beautifully to his new home!
Awwww *hugs* you must miss him... but I'm happy for you and Peanut too, hopefully they won't have any problems :)
OH Elissa, I am sure it must be hard but Peanut will be so happy!!! I've been thinking about you all afternoon. I am so glad things are working out.
Sounds like they are realistic people and are ready for Peanut. It 's nice when someone has experience with the same stuff your dog has - seems more likely that they will be a successful match. Good luck Peanut!!
I just got an update from them :D :D :yay:

Thank you so much for the information.
We got home a little while ago. We went to Petsmart and got Peanut a name tag , leash and some other goodies. He is doing Wonderful! He has been running around here up and down the stairs with my daughter and seems to be having a great time exploring. We also just took him for a short walk. We will get the shot this coming week hopefully. We also got a bed for him that will most likely be in our room.:)
We also have his bowl with food and water available in the kitchen.
Thank you so much for the info on the vaccinations. I am going to print it out. I will also send some pictures soon. Know he is doing great :)
Thank you again so much!

The last two people that called about him were not happy about the seizures...even though it said it in the Ad  Trying to convince them that a epilepsy in not a health problem was impossible. He is a very healthy dog.

I am happy that he found the perfect family for him. I do miss him :(

I was petting Rags & Pepsi before and there was no little lunatic barking his lungs out. So that was kind of nice. But I miss my fuzzball.
Oh, that letter from Peanut's new family is great :D . It sounds like heaven on earth for Peanut.
Good luck, Peanut! There are lots of sheepie families wishing you the best!
Sometimes the right home is NOT your home. I think things will work out just fine....

It's hard to let them go, but knowing it's what's right for them makes it a "tiny bit" easier to do. Good luck Peanut!

Sounds like you found her an awesome, loving home. Good for her (and you since it wasn't working out very well at your house). :)
Aww I'm glad Peanut found a new home that will be better for him. I'm sure you will miss him, but you can take comfort in knowing that he will be happier... plus you were lucky enough to find a family that will keep you updated!
Oh elissa so happy for you to read about Peanut, yes sad to let him go but sounds like a super family for him. Wishing peanut all the best with his new family and love to you too. I think as time goes by you will look back and realise that you did the right thing for peanuts situation.

You can always plan visits or playdates too, nice to know they will keep you updated as well, they sound so wonderful. :hearts:so keeping fingers crossed that all will work out fine and wonderful.
Elissa -- I can only imagine how hard it was to give him up but it really sounds like an opportunity for peanut to thrive. I am so happy for all of you.
I'm so glad you found a family for Peanut. It sounds like it will be a good home for him. I know you will miss him but, I hope you are comforted knowing he is somewhere where he is loved.
I know it was hard for you Elissa, but you did the right thing for Peanut. What a wonderful family you found for him.
I know how hard it is letting go of a beloved dog (even if he can be a pain in the butt!) but is sounds like this could be the best deal possible. They love him, and know what a dog with his condition is like. That's realistic. And you can finally have some peace! (speaking of which, the puppies have finally stopped barking and gone to sleep so I can eat breakfast!)
Elissa, SO glad you found the perfect home for Peanut! Sounds like he'll be King of the World with this family, and what could suit a poodle better than that??? I'm so happy for both of you!

Now just sit back and enjoy the rest of your summer with Hayley, Pepsi and Rags!
I'm so happy that Peanut has found a perfect home for him.
How have Pepsi and Rags reacted to Peanut being gone?
I agree it's always hard to say good-bye, somehow those terrible little antics gets under the skin and into your heart. I still hold some very fond memories of the dogs we've had, but knowing that they are in home that can love them 100%, and they are so spoiled it is all worth it.

I get my updates on Tag and Ziva, so I know it was defintely the right homes for them.

Good luck peanut, keep showing them your good side.
Sound like peanut is going to be one very spoilt poodle :D

Glad it has worked out Elissa .
I know this must have been so difficult, Elissa, but you did the right thing to make Peanut happy. It sounds like this family will be wonderful and he can live the life of a Paris Hilton Chihuahua (except they won't lose him)! :D
I'm so happy you found a good hoem for Peanut. I bet it was hard letting him go, but it helps to know they'll be keeping touch. Sounds like it could be the perfect match!!
Thanks everybody for your support!!!
I am depressed....because when he is not around the other dogs he's a sweetheart. I know I found the best possible home for him......but I'm still sad. I will miss him. I really had no choice as he was getting hurt here. Billy thought Rags was going to kill him the other day when I was out shopping. She had him pinned to the ground with her foot on his neck 8O

As for the dogs, Pepsi has been looking around for him. Rags kinda sat there yesterday with a smug look on her face.
Aw, it'll be nice to be able to stay in touch though. Plus, he isn't too far away. Best of all, you know he went to a great home even though it hurts to think about it now.
Elissa, you found Peanut a great home. I'm sure he'll miss you, and I know you miss him! But he'll be happier now without all the competition for attention.
It is hard giving them up, but Peanut will be able to live without fear of Rags. You did absolutely the right thing for your dear little dog.

We know in our hearts that its the right thing to do, but its so hard afterwards not to punish ourselves with quilt for going through with it.

I know how difficult this was for you, but it will get better. I'm sorry you had to "choose", but don't 2nd guess yourself. You did the right thing. You didn't betray him!!! (I know that guilt) He'll love you for it always!
E. I'm so glad to here you managed to find Peanut the perfect new home. I'm sorry you had to part with him, but I'm just positive that this is the best place for him! Big hugs to you!!!!!

(I can just see the look on Rags face right now!)
Thanks guys :) I still miss my little P.I.T.A
It is so quiet here 8O
