Going to the dog show

Actually, we WENT to the dog show!

Joan and I travelled to "The Big E" The Eastern States Exposition Center in Springfield, MA today and had the pleasure of seing a little bit of a dog show there!

We went there for the purpose of meeting VerveUp and Frank, and we did!

Verveup was so gracious in teaching us something about the show circuit, and then letting us have our faces washed by Frank, and giving him some rubs (after he was in the ring, of course).

Frank is such a handsome young man!

We also met a few other owners including Peggy Andersen, famous for her dancing with her sheepdog Wiley demonstration on the 2004 NEOESR Picnic video.

We had a great time, and wish we could have stayed longer!

Good luck over the rest of the weekend, VerveUp!

No, stupidly I forgot to bring my camera. I remembered after we entered our turnpike and we were running late so I couldn't turn around and spend the 20 minutes to go get it. :(
I was going to make a smart alec comment about men, but then I realized it sounds like something I would do

Oh well :(

(I'll make the comment for you Stacey)
I met RON & JOAN!!!

I was going to post earlier but didn't want to make everyone jealous!!

Ron, it was great to finally meet you & Joan - wish there was more time... Now you'll have to come down to the Philly Picnic for sure next year! You can park the RV in our driveway.

Frank's papa/sire, Quincy (bred by Rick Tocco), won breed today & then went on to win a Group 4 in Herding. After Rick was done, we took Quincy, Frank & another one of Rick's puppies into this huge field and they got to run around a little. It was funny because they all had same exact personalities. Frank is now sacked out in our hotel room doing the bunny chasing dream.

Maxxm is showing this weekend down in MD, so hopefully she's having a good weekend too!
What an awesome time! Congrats to Quincy!
And do YOU at least have pics? LOL
Has anyone noticed that we don't really have dog shows here in Louisiana?

And you can't count the Mardi Gras Krewe of Mutts either.

Definitely not many, but some. I found 9 for the 2006 year listed on the AKC site between now and January.
