Ellie and Brackens babies

Hi Everyone,
Just a quick up date from sunny England to let you know Ellie and her babies are all doing real well!! :) I am still bottle feeding the "babies" every two hours, Ellie is trying real hard but still has all the stitches from her op, which make it a bit difficult for her just now. Ellie gets the stitiches out next week. Sadly, we lost a baby girl early hours last Sunday morning but all the others are doing amazingly well. They are only 8days old and most have doubled their birth weight!! I am so proud of Ellie she is such an attentive mum and Bracken is so gentle with them too. I am shattered but so happy, Its been a dream of mine since childhood to have a litter of OES sorry sheepies and I am still on cloud 9, now that I (well, Ellie and Bracken) have realised that dream! This sounds awful of me, I love my children and grandchildren dearly, but this is just as exciting and wonderful as when they were born!! Better not let them read that bit!! My pc is an old one so I can't upload photo's but my daughter is going to do some for me on her pc so hopefully I will be able to "show off" my family of sheepies to you all real soon! Well, I'm having trouble focusing my eyes, so I'll log off and get a bit of sleep before the next feed  Hope you are all keeping well. Bye for now

Sheepie babies :D
Way to go Ivonne :) ...you and Ellie are doing a wonderfull job! sorry to hear about the lost of a pup :( but take console in the fact that mother nature is very wise and knows her job. :)
Yvonne

So glad that you popped in with an update on the the new family. Sorry to hear of the loss of one last week. I just find it facinating how the dad's are such proud & concerned pop's too. :D The babes sound like they are already growing like weeds, they will be as big as Pisco before you know it. Good luck with Elllie and the little ones and you take care yourself girl. Looking forward to when your daughter has a chance to send us pics of you all.
Oh yes, pics pics pics! Please! (forum mantra remember)
You sound like you are doing a great job, and I know it is such hard work to bottle feed a litter! Make sure you catch lots of those little naps!
Sounds like you are doing a bang-up job! I agree with Willowsprite, take lots of naps. Bottle feeding 8 pups has to be tiring. They will not require 2 hour feedings for much longer will they?

We are pulling for you guys here in Texas.
Hi Yvonne,

Yes, get some much needed rest as I'm sure your household is extremely busy at this time. Oh I'm so jealous of you!! Sigh all those puppies! Lots of work but yet all well worth it. Keep us posted on their progress and yes the mantra is Pictures!! (I don't follow my own advice and will one day post some).
Good luck with the puppies!
Hi Everyone,
And thank you all for your kind words of support, they are really appreciated! :) It was very sad loosing that little pup, but I agree that nature knows best. She was actually still born but I managed to revive her,our vet said she may have had some internal deformity and like you he said nature knows best. I'm very pleased to say all the nine remaining pups are doing brill, they have now tripled their birth weights!! And theirs eyes have opened, they look even more gorgous! Ellie is doing really well too and is a brilliant mum and is now able to enjoy walks again now that her stitches are out. Bracken likes to help out with cleaning the pups but poor fellow, I think he's getting confused, he keeps laying down with them and nudging them to his tummy!! Silly boy, but I think he thinks he can feed them like Ellie!!! Keep trying to explain to him he's got boy bits and no matter how hard he tries he can not feed his babies, but it does look so comical!!
I got some photo's sorted, my daughter e-mailed me some, and I had some put on disc when I got them developed. Bracken kindly tried eating my digital camera a few months back!! However, thickie here can not figure out how to put them on the forum!!  I'll use the excuse that I'm tired and have another read of the instructions tomorrow. I've got to say I am truely loving every minute of having the pups, the difference in their character is showing and they are such fun to watch. Can't wait til they are running around :P I know it'll be a lot of "work" too, but it doesn't feel like "work" when you are as crazy about OES as I am. Maybe I'm just plain crazy! Will try to get photos sorted asap and thanks again for the kind words. bye for now
That's so cute about Daddy trying to feed the pups! I can't wait for pics!
a nursing dad.
That sounds so like an OES though. Abbi thinks she can talk and will do this very strange strangled scream to get attention. Then she wil whine and move her mouth. The girls keep trying to help her with her pronunciation  .
I hope things keep going well. If you need help with the photos PM me. I have instructions, and know of various websites you could use to post them.
Yep, you have to first post them on another web site and then link them or hot link them to this page.
The small signature phot is different. You will have to reduce the one you want to use by size and pixels and then upload it under you PROFILE, at the bottom of the page, under avatar heading.

A picture of the dad trying to get the pups to nurse could win you a free web page space. Let me know if you need it.
Can't wait to see some photo's,they sound adorable :D
 So sorry everyone! I have had another go at trying to understand how to post photos and am just more confused! Plus Ellie is ready for a bit of help with feeding babies so I'm going to give up again!! Sorry!! I will try again though
