I'm bored...wanna help pick baby names

It's less than a week for my appt to make the surgery appt be reversed, I've got nothing else on the brain. I'm just so excited. :excited:

So I dug out the old dusty baby namer book, here's what I came up with.

Not in any particular preference, but I will probably use Chase as a middle name for either boy or girl.

Girl's:

Peyton Chase (Ainsley is another option, which I found here)
Teagan "
Hannah "
Quinn "
Bridget "
Elyse "

Boys:

Holden Chase
Merrick "
Malik or Malek "
Hayden "
Orson

Last name is Reid.

Current kids names are Madelyn Sky and Parker Lewis.

I love the name Hayden, and also love Teagan.
Oooh love the name Bridget and Merrick
I like Elyse and Malek. What fun for you!
Daisie, how old are your children?
I like Peyton and Holden....if I had had a boy or a girl the name would have been Curtiss Holden....my moms maiden and brians moms maiden......
I like Peyton and Hayden.

If we ever have another, our names are Nicholas Ryan and Sarah Elizabeth. I think we like common, boring names. ;) Other kiddos: Jakob Dylan, Brandon Michael, and our daughter's name was Kayla Nicole.
Hannah and Merrick!! those are my favorite of the ones you posted.
I love Merrick!!
I vote Hannah and Hayden!
Your kid's name is seriously Parker Lewis? I loved that show!

Are we choosing or can we suggest ?

I like Lucy, Elody and Franchessca and for boys Dale, Dean & James
Daisie... you and I should be pregnancy buddies! Mike and I are trying to get pregnant now too, after my M/C in May. I keep crossing my fingers and hoping for symptoms...

I love Elyse, I think it is a very romantic name for a little girl. I'm having trouble "getting into" boy names still(Probably because i want a little girl SO BADLY), but Orson and Merrick seem nice.

Everyone, send Daisie and I lots of fertile thoughts and baby prayers please!!!!

Ha ha...I laughed when I saw the name too! I loved that show!! (Daisie--not laughing AT the name itself...it's a lovely name :D )

My middle name is Elise...I like that...

Orson seems he would get made fun of...same with Teagan--rhymes too easily with Pee-gan!
I love the name Teagan, I will use it for a boy or a girl.

Teaghan - Girl
Tegan - Boy.

I also love the name Hayden and Jorga (Georgia)
Seriously I never heard of that show called Parker Lewis, until I joined this forum, very weird, wished I could see it now... I've always had loved the name ever since I watched Parker Stevenson, then as an adult I thought it was unique and since no one I knew had that name, it was an easy decision. Lewis comes from my family side, my dad's middle name, and my great grandfather.

Parker is 5 1/2 yrs, and Madelyn is almost 7 (Oct).

Madelyn got her name from the movie North and South, the character that played opposite Patrick Swazye as Orry. My aunt used the name Orry, 18 yrs ago tho. And he's is the only one I've ever known.

That's why I like the name Orson...mature and unique. (Orson Wells)...sounds distingushed, as if Orson Reid would be a lawyer..hoytty toytty

I like Jorga too...Jorga Fox from CSI...actually mentioned it to hubby last night...

Suggestions are totally welcome, the hard part is not to pick something that's been used in our family or friends.

We have: Lila, Rita, Albert, Eric, Wayne, James, Debra, Jesse, Allan, Jarvis, Justin, Olivia, Journie, Orry, Tatyanna, Lacey, Joel, Grace, Sahira, Ezra, Mercedes, Isabelle, Bev(me), Robert, Michael (2), Russel, George, Catherine, Carolyn, Ruby, Stella, Jasper, Jackson, Maverick, Emmett, Wyatt, April, Veronica, Tiphany, Paige, Zarleigh, Zane, Teresa, Wendy, Rebecca, Jonathan, Claire, Jennilee, Melissa, Jayden, Aidan, Ava, Kenisha, Brent, Blaine, David...

these are just a handful...

If Parker had been a girl he would have been called Bridget...but I don't know if I still LOVE it as much. It's still not used, and noone in the kids past classes have it...

Some of the girls: Ella, Shae, Molly, Naomi, Kirsten, Tracey, Natalie, Keanna, Sara, Chelsea, Emily, Justine, Lucy, Lynn, Rachael, Alyssa, Piper.

For boys the kids have: Jonathon, Conner (2), Brett, Marco, Cooper, Nick, Nabil, Daniel, Justin, Liam, Braedon, Ty, Brennan, Dawson.

Now they have 80 kindergarten kids, and 60 grade 1...I'm missing a few names. LOL

But often they dupilicate, then that kid becomes Conner C, or Conner N...I don't want that. There is only 1 Parker in this whole school right now.

I never thought of peeGan from teagan....goodpoint, kids can be cruel if they go there???
My Mom and sister are teachers, and certain kids names a ruin now. One bad kids I guess ruins the name for them. My sister used to love Matthew and Liam but she had 2 boys named that are they were nightmares.
Any name can be made fun of, I wouldn't really put much of that into your decision personally...
I have an English background with a tiny bit of native ancestry, and hubby's background is Irish.

Let's do a poll. I will narrow it down, hubby does not like Orson. He did like Hayden at one point...he likes traditonal names. But I will ultimately get what I want, and then he ususally warms up to it.

.

LOL...my husband picked out all our kids names...
He named the cats, Jake and Amy. But when it comes to making a decision on ANYTHING, he just can't do it.

Drives me nuts, where to eat, where to stay, what to wear, picking a name, he's quick to say he doesn't like it, but never says he likes it.

I swear how do they function before they get married.

THEIR MOTHERS!!!
Wow is all I can say--you have a bazillion names in your family. Are these all relatively the same age people or do those names run from great grandma to newborn babies?

I would think that you could repeat a name if it hadn't just been used?

AS for multiples in a class...My brother was always Chris P, and he never minded it. It's hard sometimes to find an unused name. And you never know, all the pregnant people right now might be thinking, hmmm, Bob hasn't been used in a while, so I'll name him Bob--and then there's 4 Bobs in a class! :D

May I ask where Zarleigh came from and if it is a boy or girl's name? :)
Zarleigh is about 9 yrs old now, it is a girl. The parents (my cousin) were watching a hockey game, and one of the guys jersey had this name on the back. They thought it sounded cool.

Won't be another Zarleigh out there.

Most of the names come from my dad's side of the family, older aunts and uncles I grew up around, siblings, the children, and now our children. A few aunts and uncles that I could never reuse...they were strong people that there can only be one.

For example Debra was my aunt that died at 14 from leukemia, I would reuse her name. But I just don't want to explain where they got the name...kinda a downer.

My dad had 8 siblings, and I was #10...I was raised by his parents. So I am very close to all my aunts as if we were sisters, and then my cousins...I am the oldest.

So that's why I don't like to reuse any names, I want our child to feel it doesn't have a name to live up to, but a middle name is different.
