Fireworks

Panda has never reacted to noise of any sort (excluding my singing) but last night watching the fireworks from my backyard was a different story...

She wasnt afraid (I dont think) but rather ran in circles and barked like crazy...It was so funny to watch because just like a little kid she would watch it go up into the sky, ears all perked and then when it exploded, she ran in circles.....then sit back down and start the whole thing over......

That is very funny, Darcy!

We didn't make it to the fireworks show as Steve fell asleep on the couch and then didn't want to go. Fine by me as I'm not a huge fan of loud noise and I end up covering my ears. However, we can still hear them clearly from our house. Although personal fireworks are mostly illegal in Illinois, people set them off for 2 days anyways!

Foz wasn't quite sure what to make of all the racket. He did bark, then let Annie take over protection duty. He barely went potty all night long and did stay close to me. Eventually, I went downstairs and put on the tv. Foz and I danced to "Walk this Way" by Aerosmith who was performing at one of the festivals on TV. I think I was watching CBS. I HAD A BLAST! I forgot how much fun a puppy could be!

Annie hates thunder and fireworks. She barks and then eventually gets very quiet and hangs out near us but not next to us.
Awww - that sounds like fun. Were you able to catch any of it on video?
oops sorry thought I put this under antics, but my computer has been acting up all morning....

Moved to Antics.

That sounds very cute. I would have loved to see her in action. We heard a few from our house. Maggie was on her way out for a pee but she ran back into the house and held it til morning instead. Silly girl.
That sounds so cute!

A couple nights ago, our neighbors had their own private fireworks display for about a hour and a half, maybe two hours. Blue ignored it, but it drove Belle crazy, especially the louder ones. We were in my office with the AC on in the window next to the neighbors, and Belle barked, growled, scowled, and grumbled at the AC unit the entire time. She thought the loud noises were coming from that!

It's funny, though... Blue is afraid of storms and Belle ignores those.

Josh
What a silly girl!
