Article about sick puppies from a Petstore chain

Permission to cross post was granted:
Again, we find that retailers and their suppliers are not paying attention
to appropriate guidelines for humane and safe animal husbandry. The few
students who come to my puppy classes with pet shop purchased dogs tell me
that the stores told them the pups come from a "breeder" in such-and-such
state. A puppy mill by any other name is still a puppy mill, so I am happy
to forward this message as requested.

half the puppies at one of the Woof & Co. stores have been diagnosed with
Giardia.

No big surprise, but the suffering these fools will cause is sickening.
