I realize it's bittersweet that you now have room for another in your home. When Panda came into my life unexpectedly only two weeks after the passing of my beloved 15 year old Shaggy - it helped ease the pain. Now I realize that Panda probably had a Shaggy angel looking out for him and I think it's the same in your case. Sassy angel is going to make sure it happens. You are honoring Sassy and Abby will probably look forward to having a new sibling. If you can (not always possible) but let Abby choose her sibling. Best wishes to you and please let us know how it's going for you. I know whatever rescue you take in..is going to be one lucky boy/girl.
