Superman Returns

My boys loooove superheroes, so we took them to see this movie today. It was 2 hrs 45 minutes, so I was nervous about my 3 year old, but the ending was exciting enough that he was glued to his chair. :) I did think it was appropriate for my kiddos - there weren't any cuss words or violence in the movie that I can recall. There was one fight scene, but it wasn't terrible. It was better than some of the cartoons we've watched at the theater lately language wise......

Anyway, it was an awesome movie. I'm not even a big comic book fan, and I really enjoyed this one.

Glad to hear because the TV review wasn't favorable.

They preferred Monster House which they admit is NOT for young children but older--10 and over and into adults should like it.

I seen some of the reviews and it seems that people still want the phrase "& the American way" included in the movie!!! Way to go!!!
where does "and the American way" phrase go in the movie? Sorry, I'm not a Superman person...

I've heard it wasn't very good--that the modern story line they gave it just didn't work for it...but I'm glad you guys liked it...that's all that matters...I usually never listen to reviews since I hardly ever agree with them!
Everyone I know who has seen it has loved it... I can't wait to see it.
Actually "and the American Way" was added for the TV series.

Radio Intro 1:
"Boys and girls, your attention please. Presenting a new exciting radio program, featuring the thrilling adventures of an amazing and incredible personality. Faster than an airplane, more powerful than a locomotive, impervious to bullets!
"Up in the sky! Look!"
"It's a bird!"
"I'ts a plane!"
"It's Superman!"
"And now, Superman, a being no larger than an ordinary man, but possessed of powers and abilities never before realized on Earth. Able to leap into the air an eighth of a mile at a single bound. Hurdle a 20 story building with ease. Race a high powered bullet to it's target. Lift tremendous weight and rend solid steel with his bare hands as though it were paper. Superman! Strange visitor from a distant planet, champion of the oppressed, physical marvel extraordinary who has sworn to devote his existence on Earth to helping those in need."

You know what I never understood in the old Superman TV series?

Superman would stand there with his hands on his hips as the bad guy emptied his gun at his chest, bullets flying off of his Superman logo. Then when the gun was out of bullets, the bad guy would throw the gun at him... and Superman would duck!
LOL... that's enough Superman bashing!! He was totally my hero when I was little.... and Wonderwoman of course. I was terrified of the Hulk. LOL
Thanks Ron! I can't say I remember Superman on the radio, so I'm feelin' younger now!

What years was it on the radio, and when did it go on tv?
Here's a good spot to look
