I hope you don't get stranded too. I wish you would send some of that rain South. We really need it down here.
Id rather have a rainstorm than a dust storm.....Im tired of spitting dust every time I venture outside 8O
I also wish we had rain. Our humidity went threw the roof and it's about 113 today and muggy. YUCK!!!!
Steph,
I hope it ends for you soon and you don't get stranded.
They just declared a State of Emergency in my county !!! We are having terrible flash flooding, it's rained 4 inches today with no sign of letting up. I had to take a bunch of detours on the way home because of roads closed.
I can't imagine 4 inches rain!!! Never have I seen anything close to that.

Locally last night a storm blew thru the far east side of town against the mtns. They had 1 inch in 30 minutes and it caused havoc. We got nary a drop here at the happy homestead. We just got to watch the rain and lightning. A few days before Alamogordo got 4 inches against their mtns and caused wide spread flood damage.

So for those of you who have been under this rain cloud for the past several months, I wish you clear skies SOON! You have been wet for toooo long.

And for those of us who can't seem to squeeze out a drop, may the rains come soon.
We've had more than 20 inches of rain in the last two months, making it the wettest two month period in recorded history. That was before the rains of the last few days, too. (it's finalyl sunny and breezy today)

I just mowed my lawn at 6", and my tractor kept bogging down.

It's like a jungle here.
This morning when we were leaving the house to go to work, I commented that it was starting to look like a Rain Forest. Tonight it looks like a Rain Forest during Monsoon season :(
We in AZ and Im sure NM will be more than happy to take some rain off of your hands....we got more dust, palm fronds all over the yard and NO rain.......bummer :(
Raining like crazy here in Burlington, NC, too! My yard looks like a big ol' river. I hated taking SamSun to "potty" after his grooming today. UGH!
Hi SamSun's Mom, welcome to the forum!
Hope it stops raining for y'all!
My entire three county area has been declared a state of emergency today, no unecessary travel. Which of course I didn't know until I got stopped on the way TO work  . Since I'm a nurse they let me continue on, and didn't give me a ticket, but I doubt there will be many patients today.
YIKES!! I really hope, for all your sakes, that the rains cease soon. We got a few days of it here, but we were down 10" for the year, so it was a welcome relief.
Your turn now Darcy!! We got some rain last night! The most moisture in many, many months. It wasn't monsoon rain, that's yet to come. Just hold on.

susan
Be careful out there you eats coasters! don't take unneccessary chances to get to work/elsewhere... flash flooding can be very, very dangerous. I don't want to hear about anybody having to be saved from their car being swept down a flooded street!!!!

8O

Here's praying the rains start going where their needed, and stop where they aren't!!!!
