BOSLEY'S EYE HEALED!!!!!!!

I cannot believe it... 8O 8O 8O

Neither can the vets!!!!! :excited:

On Saturday his eye had still not healed after the surgery 3 weeks ago, so I was sent home with some drops with instructions to bring him back today, Monday, for a different surgical procedure to be preformed tomorrow morning... The drops were antibiotic type and some serum to help promote healing until we can get him to the surgeon .

Today I took the day off work, clipped the fur on his face and all under his neck really short because he will need his cone for another 7 weeks after surgury. We brought him to the hospital, all packed up with his meal, meds, drops, water etc They had a look and lo and behold! His eye is healed! The vet called in 2 more doctors and they all said it looked great. The one who say him on Saturday said she could not believe it was the same eye! We are all totally amazed!

So we came back to continue the agressive treatment with all his 3 kinds of drops throughout the day, and back in a week for a follow-up. Seems it is still very fragile, so we need to monitor and help it gain strength, but the ulcer is gone! The hole in his cornea is filled in!

All the thoughts and good wishes and prayers have worked! No surgery required! We are thrilled!!!!

Thank you soooooo much everyone! Yaaahhhh!!!!!!

He needs his collar for at least 3 weeks, so Dixie will have to wait for a while to kick his butt ..

Boy what a relief that must have been to hear that news.

Way to go Bosley. And side note to Dixie - "Go easy on him ok?"
Things are really looking up with the whole houeshold's demeanor....

He has to have drops in his eye 12 times a day. I get up at 4 in the morning for one of them 8O
My 14 year old is doing a noon hour shift, as he is off school, and even my husband is all proud because he was able to do it when he got home from work.

Not that is it really hard to do...... when Bosley sits there, looks at you with his big brown eyes and waits patiently for the drop so he can get his treat...

But he has broken 2 of the hospital cones so far. We went out and bought one tonite, because if he breaks it we can at least exchange it for a new one...I wonder how many we are allowed before the store can refuse?

Dixie is still afraid of him with it on, so she is biding her time....
YAY! I'm soooo happy for you! :D
:D 8O :D I can just imagine Daisey waiting :D 8O :D
