Anyone miss me?

Just got back from 10 days in London and Budapest.
Ate, drank and spent too much but it was great. Just me and my other half hanging around and having a laugh in beautiful surroundings.

Anyone have their vacations planned yet?

Welcome home Helen! Sounds like fun - especially the eating and drinking part!

I'm headed to Walt Disney World in a few weeks. I'm not happy about leaving the girls behind but thankfully my parents are going to be taking care of them!

I look forward to eating and drinking excessively on my vacation as well!

Glad you're back Helen!

Sounds like a wonderful vacation!!! I'm envious!! I've always wanted to visit Budapest, it must have been very interesting.

Of course we missed you! But you didn't miss us much, now dija ya? London and Budapest, interesting choices? sure there is a story behind that?

We went on our BIG vacation last November. Pictures at the site listed below. Wanted to go on one to BIG BEND country (South TX), but not sure we can manage it this year. Maybe next year or for Christmas?

Hope everyone has good vacations. Weather seems right for it.

Presume that was Aginright?

Hey! Course I missed you guys. Honest. Was looking forward to a build-up of posts when I got back. Really missed Blue. I was only gone for 10 days and, in that time, she seemed to have doubled in size! Well, not quite but, while I was gone, her puppy coat started changing! She now has a patch about the size of my hand on her back where her coat is changing from fluffy and black to coarser and grey.

My little girl is growing up. :(

As for the reasoning behind London and Budapest. None really! Have been to London several times and love it. Great buzz, theatres, restaurants and sights. Great shops too! Plus, living in Ireland, it means I have a pretty short flight. My boyfriend lives almost 200km from me so my flight to meet him is and hour and then from there to London is 55 mins. Not bad. As for Budapest, we were in Prague for a 4-day weekend at the start of Feburary and fell in love with the place so decided that we'd like to see more of Central Europe. Since we had more time and Budapest is larger than Prague, it seemed the logical choice. Plus, it has a great history- was a communist stronghold and it's amazing to see how the city was rebuilt.

Thoroughly enjoyed it- though, for total romance and magic, Prague still has my vote.
You are so good a summing things up. I need to take lessons. Need to be more brief.
Yep, that was me before.
Sounds like a fantastic vacation.
Things are sort of busy around here. I have 'volunteered" to be a Brownie scout leader. I am helping out at an handicap organization. Went in for pre-op, they kept me ther for 6 hours meeting nurses, doctors, anesthesiologist, blood test, other test (including a chest x-ray and a EKG?). By the time I was through I had visited the entire hospital. Oh well, if I tried to spell out all of the procedures they are planning to do on me, it would take up more time and space than I should use up.
So post op all I wll be able to do is walk and lie down for 3 weeks.

So I ahve been taking Abbi to the fields to walk her off-leash. So far she has done very well at coming back on command. Tomorrow we take the neighbor's cat out there and see if she will still stay and come on command. Should be interesting. We have been bagging up her food so I can feed her (has to weigh less than 3 lbs).
Today I am setting up my notebook for the internet down on my kitchen counter. I will surf while standing for a while. Bet I will be doing a lot more while I surf.
But my link to my Belize trip is still good. Maybe I will sort out all of my trips, post em, and link them during recup. I have most on disk.
We spent time in Holland, Spain, and Paris. Never went to London, Ireland or central Europe much, as the kids were going to school in Holland. Maybe we will in the future. Sounds like another great adventure.
