Stolen directly from the pages of Bon Appetit, June 06, this sounds yummy for a hot day.

3/4 cup water
1/2 cup sugar
1 14 oz can sweetened condensed milk
1 cup fresh or bottled key lime juice (Nellie and Joe's is good)

Bring water and sugar to boil in heavy pan, stirring until sugar is dissolved. Mix in milk, then lime juice. Transfer to bowl, place over larger bowl filled with ice and water, cool, stiriing often, about 30 minutes.

Process in ice cream maker according to manufacturer's directions. Freeze in covered container at least 4 hours and up to 2 days...like it would last that long Shocked
Yeah, I've done this..........of course anything with lime will be a big hit here. Done this with lemon.....the sweet Meyers lemons. yum, yum.

My dear friend was complaining after swimming today, "What's wrong with me?? Yesterday I bought a pint of ice cream and had it eaten before I got home."

"In the car??!!," I asked.

"Oh sure, I always keep a spoon in the car for emergencies."

"You didn't eat while driving did you?"

"No, I'd only eat it at stop lights."
