Merlin Has Been Found, Safe and Sound!!!
Started a new thread so that you can see right away - your thoughts and prayers for his safe- keeping worked. Thank you all so much!!! When I get some much needed rest I'll write a post about Merlin's Great Adventure. He slept the night on someone's porch and they placed a fan on him for comfort. Next was a trip to the Pet food store where I had also left a note, they left a message on my phone, then on to the dog park which is located 3 blocks from my house - where the by-law officer called on her behalf. All the places we had posted he was missing. My heart still hurts from the ordeal and I'm going to have a long snoooze with my Merlin boy. Marianne |

| Oh forgot to mention..always best to keep checking Humane Society as a call was placed at 2:30pm regarding he had been found. I visited them in person at 4:37 to report him missing and they said nothing had come in. Arg! |

| Willoughby and I are very happy that Merlin was found. He's our neighbour now: only a few miles away. I was out of town at the time. Marianne told me the story last weekend. I won't reveal the details but it has all the earmarks of a Sherlock Holmes mystery. (forgive the pun).Lynda |

Since I started his bad half finished groom job the night before his dissapearance: the neighbors have given me some good natured kidding about perhaps his possible embaressment made this the reason for this "going astray". I promised from now on..back to a professional groomer! This was his big adventure: http://forum.oes.org/viewtopic.php?t=8552 Seems as he made an impression on the entire neighborhood as this following week ..everyone we go - people honk their horns, wave from porches, or stop us on the street...YOU FOUND HIM!!! ( I had also drawn another cartoonish drawing of Merlin and of myself ,hugging him, with the words - Merlin found! At the bottom of the cartoon ,a note thanking everyone for their support and helping out. I delivered them to the 60 homes whose doors I had knocked on the previous day so they could stop looking and know he's been found and returned to me safely. Overall a great way to know all my neighbors! Marianne and the boys |
