Sam in Granit City Illinois needs a home

Sam is a 9 month old OES. I just spoke with the girl who is fostering him and he does sound like a great great dog. She has a 3yr old and 5 yr old he plays with and there is absolutely no problem with temperment.

Sam is blind in the right eye, he came from a pupply mill and was extremely mis treated. When she rescued him about a month ago and went to pick him up they were kept in metal barrels. She explained him as somewhat similar to a child with down syndrome. He is extremely loving, potty trained and plays well with her other four dogs. Goes outside runs, plays jumps and does everything a normal dog does. She siad he is just very clingly. Wants to be with people all time. She said he licks and plays.

Sam is very small only 42 pounds but he is gaining weight. He eats four times a day and is gaining rapidly he eats puppy pro plan.

I will have pictures tonight which I will try and post but I am not good at that. It is better if you e mail me and I will attach them.

I would take him in a minute but Phoebe is just too bonkers plus I have the collie, cat and another assortment of animals. Please if you know of anyone or spread the word to everyone. Granit City is close to St Louis I am even willing to meet someone half way if needed. Feel free to give my e mail address to anyone interested. Let's find Sam a home

Her telephone number is 618-550-0099

AWWWW the photos are priceless. Pure example of how comical a sheepie can be even when laying down. Love that bowl helmet!

Lets hope he finds a good home!

Marianne and the boys
He's adorable :) He's young and shouldn't have any trouble finding a great new home, he certainly deserves one.
He's a cutie :D Thanks for providing more info on this lucky sheepie-boy. She might try asking to see if any OES rescues would help or would post him on PetFinder as a courtesy listing.

Puppymills... grrrr  :x

Sounds like some of mine 8O  Panda was ultra clingy because of separation anxiety. Meds can help ease his suffering if necessary.
I see Sam has been added to PetFinder... but he's not listed as a special needs pup... his challenges aren't indicated. :? Hope he finds someone to love him soon.
