Bosley's eye

Not for everybody.

I uploaded a picture of Bosley's eye. You will see why I mentioned before that he looks possessed. It is a tad gross...not really graphic, but spooky looking. The red is his inner eyelid that has been pulled up and surtured to his top eyelid, as a living bandage. There is a tiny, little plastic piece that holds the upper eyelid in place. This stays like this for 3 weeks, and I put drops in and clean it 2 or 3 times a day. I would trade cleaning up puke or doggie doo any day!

Brave folks can click on my camera and check him out.

Aw. Poor you and poor Bosley. I'm so sorry you guys have to go through this. I don't think it looks too gross. He reminds me of those kids in elementary school who thought it was funny to flip their eyelids inside out. ;)
We had that done to our pekignese when her eyes ulcerated from the inside out. It doesn't look pretty but you will be amazed at the way it doesn't seem to bother them after a while.

Good luck and give him a big hug from us!
OUCH :(
I thought it would look much worse.
He does kinda look possessed.
Poor guy!! That cannot be very comfortable :(

The worst thing I even had to take care of is when my Boxer had her litter her one of her milk ducts got clogged and the side of her boob exploded. 8O
She had this gapping hole in her side. That was just absolutely the worst thing. I am gagging just thinking about it. :twitch:
But I did what had to be done and she got better.
oh, that looks terrible (miserable). :(

Tons of sheepie kisses to both of you from Yuksters.
aww... London gives lots of kisses to Bosley :)
Ouch! That looks so sore... I hope it heals up fast....
Awwww - poor Bosley. What a big honey he is. That looks very creepy and very alien. How is his mood?
Panda sends Bosley big wet kisses.....(I do too)
Had a quick check by the treating vet today. So far so good. Nice and clean, and the lid is still tightly sewed up :?

He is right back to his bouncy, floppy, bumbling self. Dixie is still afraid of his cone so he is having fun terrorizing her with it. We are keeping them separated, but as she flies over our baby gates, they sometimes meet up. Bosley just corners her with the cone and she panics.

He has resigned himself to the drops and cleaning etc, so I can do it without help, now. He will do anything for a few crumbs of Dixie's smelly fish kibble. :D

One good thing that is coming out of this is his loose-leash walking. He is only allowed outside on leash, so we take nice little strolls around the yard, and he is doing real well without the gentle leader.
I'm so happy to hear he is healing well.
That's also great that he will allow you to do the drops & cleaning without putting up a fuss. What a good boy!
Ouch, give bosley a huge hug, it does look at lot better then the first pic of him, hope all goes well and thinking of you all.
Glad to see Bosley is healing nicely. Now, how are YOU doing??? {{{HUGS}}}

I'm so sorry this happened to him, but I'm very glad to hear he's in good spirits and is allowing you to treat him. Good boy, Bosley.
Glad to see that bosley on the mend... Sheepie ((((((((((((HUGS)))))))))

Poor baby! But I'm convinced that stuff like this always makes US feel worse than THEY do! He's probably used to it by now, so he just wants to get on with life! Bless his little heart. :hearts:

Give him a big belly rub from me, please!
