Oh Poo!!!!

Well,

Pippin had his first bout of diarreah yesterday and last night. Naturally, overnight he had accidents 3x in our bedroom- one of only 2 carpeted areas in our entire home. So I was up at midnight (Couldn't fall asleep again until 2am) and again at 4:45 cleaning up really stinky piles. Alternated between wanting to be ill and bursting into tears... And then what does he do? Yep- shreds paper towel all over the bed.

A big thank you to Ron for putting the diarreah treatment info on the front page- my dial up at home is so slow, but I was still back in bed by 5:15. sorta.

So I left Pip at home this morning with rice water and a prayer. Here's hoping I've managed to stop it...

I need some sleep. Apparently my dog is VERY serious about this parental training program he's got me in!

Poor Karen! I hope Pip feels better soon. Any idea what he got sick from? I never understand why every dog goes potty or pukes on the wall to wall carpet. Why can't they go on the hard wood, tile or area rugs?
Well,

He was visiting my SIL's puppy Sadie on Tuesday... I have a sneaky suspicion it has something to do with that, maybe he got into her food or something. I've gotta talk to Mike and see... He was babysitting his niece and nephew over there. I'm not sure how much attention he was paying to what trouble Pip was getting into!

That carpet is SO GROSS now! Ugh... Thank goodness for my 7th Generation cleaner... that stuff works wonders on smelly messes. I've still gotta get out my little carpet scrubber tonight when I get home though.

All I really want to do is crawl back into bed!
Poor Kar...sorry that stinky loose poop had to happen at night....it should come right up though with that bissell carpet and upholstery cleaner(that what I use)....go to bed early tonight!
I have a bissle little green machine... hopefully that'll do the trick! I'm just worried about him being at home. I left the rice water in with him in his crate, and gave him a kong with rice and a little bit of yogurt for his gut. Christina's going home around 3, so he doesn't have to be in there ALL DAY long...

Poor boo boo!!!
Ugh. Poo stinks... literally! You should have no problem, especially catching it right away with the little green clean machine. It's a godsend.
That's a long time to be in the crate when/if you need to go. I really really hope for no accidents.
Me too... Can't be helped though- Thur and Fri both Mike and I work till 5pm. This could be really bad!

Karen, however bad it is when you get home, remember this and hopefully it'll soften the situation. Pip's still small enough to move around and manipulate so if you have to toss him in the tub, it's not too bad. Plus, he has no tail to "spread the wealth around." When Bear had his whipworms, he had the poo explosion in the crate which wound up on all walls surrounding him and the ceiling, not to mention all over him! We tossed our 90 pound beast on a blanket and had to carry him upstairs like in a hammock to get him in the tub-- which ended up being a 4 hour experience of washing and drying. James got to scrub the poo off the ceiling. ;)
Ah, the horrors of diarrhea. Luckily all my dogs that I have now make it outside for that. (puking is a different story  )
But I definitely know the feeling. My Boxer Roxie got sick one night and messed in our bedroom, two feet from the bed. She was not my dog and hubby refused to clean it. So there I was with paper towels and the little green clean machine. I was gagging the entire time. I think she had 3 accidents that night. The entire downstairs of the house had hardwood floor, but of course any kind of accident she had was on the carpeting.
I hope Pippin feels better very soon.
Sorry to hear Pip's not feeling well... any better this afternoon?
I'll know soon... christina is headed home right now. hopefully everything is ok  I am SO GLAD Pip doesn't have a tail- I can only imagine the horrors of big dog diarreah with a tail.... and luckily the bathrooms are only 12' from the kennel, so we don't have far to go! I'm keeping my fingers crossed that he is feeling better.
Well I got home last ngiht and NO MESS!!! that's right, we beat the poo problem into submission!!!! :go: Pip had a nice, firm bowel movement later that evening, so I can now officially stop worrying about it!!! Thank heavens!!!
Yay!! :yay:
Glad to hear Pippin is feeling better! :)

Holy cow! Poor Bear! and poor Jill and James! 8O

Three quarters of my ground floor is tile and yet bailey will always puke or poo on the carpet. I really wish I knew what the thought process was...
