Show?

For dog shows are they looking for a certain behavior? Look? Disposition? What? Does any one know? Sorry if this isn't a behavior question. I guess it would depend on the anwser.

If it is a conformation show, the judge is comparing your dog to the standard set by the AKC. Proportion, height, gate, etc. But behaviour def. plays a role. A good natured dog with a little personality goes a long way in the ring.

If you saw the Westminster show this year, the winner (a Newfie named Josh) not only fit the standard for his breed, but had the personality to best any class clown.
Thanks. I hate I missed it.
