Aloha! Hey everybody, I am writing you from Hawai'i!

Hey everybody, I am writing you from Hawai'i!
I got here yesterday, and after a long long day I am settled in. The place I am staying is on the North Shore and there is a really cool town nearby and lots of amazing beaches.
I am a little bummed because I am pretty much flying solo on this one. the people I am working for live pretty far, and he really isnt going to be much of a tour guide, so besides meeting him to talk about work we probably wont be talking much. there will be another kid my age coming in 2 weeks, and my friend and hopefully my boyfriend will be visiting throughout my stay. But to be honest I'm a little stressed about being here for 2 whole months.

I already miss Walter that it gets me a little teary eyed thinking about him. I also miss my boyfriend and I never thought I'd say it but I miss Chicago too . But I am sure that once I get used to the place and my friend/coworker comes I will feel a lot better.

I hope everyone is doing well, I do have internet access at my place so hopefully I will be keeping up with the forum.

Heather you lucky girl! Two whole months sounds like heaven. I'm sure you'll have a great time and it will fly by :)
I'm sure things will get better once you're settled in. Two months in Hawaii sounds like heaven. Have fun!
Heather, have a great time...and if you ever get into Waikiki...go to Dukes...its in an Outrigger on the main strip....its lots of fun and great people watching....enjoy it while you are there!
refresh my memory which of the two places did you pick?

Are you sharing with a guy....that you felt was icky? Or the beautifula pt farther away but you could be alone? Or something totally different?

But once you get used to the place, it will be nice. Hopefully someone can take you guys out and show you around, do sightseeing.
AlooooooooooHA!

We are going to need at least a few pics, kiddo!!!

Glad you're safe.
Glad you made it there safely!
I know you're far away from everyone, but this is a once in a lifetime opportunity, enjoy yourself!!!! Take lots of pictures.
Two months will fly!!!!! Where did you wind up living? Sounds like you didn't stay with the boss!!!!! Hope you have a "good sitution". Try not to be too home sick, we are here for you!! ((((HUGS)))).
Enjoy your stay :) Hawaii for 2 months sounds like heaven to me, but I know you'll probably end up feeling a little homesick anyway...
Hope you can post every now and then and tell us how it's going and post lots of pics! :)
What a great experience for you! Have a GREAT time and take lots of pics!!
Hi Heather ~ What a great opportunity for an adventure! You'll be amazed. In no time it will feel like home. You'll be meeting people and making friends. Have a great time and enjoy yourself! We'll be expecting pictures!

Have your parents set up a webcam so you can see Walter!
Once you get settled in, you'll feel better. Have a great time and enjoy Hawaii!
Wow... Hawaii! You lucky girl you :D
Make it a point to enjoy yourself... don't waste a second being stressed in a place like THAT.

I've gotta say it again....
Wow... Hawaii... sigh...
I'm so jealous! Which island are you on? You should get scuba certified while you're over there. We were out on the Big Island last year and the diving was amazing.

Have a great time!
HOW COOL IS THAT! HAVE A GREAT TIME OUT THERE HEATHER, AND RELAX... YOU'RE BY THE OCEAN, BREETH IN THE SALT BREEZES, AND ENJOY YOUR LITTLE SLICE OF PARADISE FOR THE NEXT 2 MONTHS!
I was just thinking about you the other day and what you decided about Hawaii. Where are you staying? You'll probably settle in quickly especially when your friend, boyfriend and the another person comes too. Take advantage of everything there is to do if you can...go to one of the local tourist guide places or a hotel. They'll help you out! I guess this means we won't see you at the park next weekend :( We'll meet up one of these days.
AWWWWWWWWWW NO FAIR!!!!!!!!!!
I'll trade with you--you can come to Virginia and I'll go to Hawai'i for 2 months, okay?
You'll settle in. It is a big change, but you'll get used to it and have a great time. Didn't you even TRY to smuggle Walter in your carry on luggage?
Thanks everyone.. I am sure I will fell better once I'm settled, but in the mean time I sure do miss my dog.

I'm on O'ahu in one of the little surf towns on the North Shore. I ended up picking the studio apartment, which is about an hour away from Honolulu where I will be doing a lot of work, but I have a car so it's really not a big deal. I will take lots of pictures but I forgot my camera cord at home so I won't be able to post them for a while.

Give all your pups a hug for me!
Heather you should get your friend or bf to take pictures of your pup and post them for you to see. i am excited for you. Do you think that you'll be working a lot or will you have time to be a hawian
I know what you mean about the homesickness, if i am gone for a day i am depressed, but i guess my post is leaning on the depressing side, so i will try to think of something to say that will cheer you up................. .... .. . .. Um know that ur baby is safe and that the time will fly and pretty soon you'll be state side again and missing it!!!
