Goodmorning from Washington!!

We are headed home today after a DEEELIGHTFUL weekend wqith my son and his bride. It's been a great weekend and ya'll are going to have to put up with some pics when I get home  .

Memorial Day weekend is a HOPPPING place in DC. I forgot about the "Rolling THunder" ride, feels like we are in the midst of a Harley convention, oh yeah we are!!!!! We did all the typical "tourist" stuff including a visit to the Holocost Museum................. very sovvering if you have not been there.

My son and his bride have an adorable little townhouse and I got to do the "Mom" thing and take them shopping for "stuff"

Just a warning, I'll be posting pics when I get home

Hi Ginny,

So happy to hear you had a nice time in Washington with your
family. Have a safe trip home!

Just put Ty in the sidecar on your Harley and off you go! Zoom... 8)

Looking forward to the pictures. :D
Can't wait for the pics~~~!! I am so jealous and sick to my stomach thinking about how much I miss DC. I'd give anything to go back just to have the taxi drivers who don't speak English, the drive from work that takes 40 minutes although you're only 10 minutes away, and seeing a million protesters blocking your entrance to work because they have a 101 things to object to and 'think' someone in the Pentagon (where i worked) cares. I'm probably the only one who misses the things people that live there now HATE. ;)

I gotta admit I'm one of those people who HATES the crowds and the traffic. Can't tell you how many times I've said "its a nice place to visit but I'd NEVER want to live her" this weekend!!!!

Yesterday we were in a KOHLS dept store, identical to my KOHLS at home. The only difference was that NO ONE was speaking english. It was the oddest thing....................... I felt like I was having an out of body experience!

Joan, I'd get a side car but I can't find a leather jacket that fits TY!!!

I bet I could find one at the little boutique down the street from me. . . What's his size? My sister has one for her pug and he looks quite tough in it. . .
Sounds like a great weekend! :)
Sounds like an awesome trip. Can't wait to see the pics.
I grew up in DC and miss the activism and amazing array of things to do culturally. There is always something happening.
I do not miss the traffic
Glad you had a great time.
Hopefully you have a traffic free drive home!
Can't wait to see you pics!

Welcome home, Ginny! My son lives in Alexandria, VA and is always complaining about the Beltway and the traffic. Don't know how he puts up with it. It's definitely not something I'd like to drive thru every day!

Can't wait for the house pics! Glad you had such a great time!
Glad you had a great time Ginny. And have we ever objected to pictures
It was alot of fun, I tried to upload pics from shutterfly and for some reason they didn't work so I guess it'll have to wait til I get home :( . The trafic coming home was delightfully light!!!! Ty slept in my lap the entire way. I was a bit upset wehn I picked Tasker up, he was REALLY dirty and smelled, well ..... like a kennel....... we had to come home IMMEDIATELY and head to the shower.

The lady at the kennel said he did fine. She did mention that there was one of the guys that he doesn't like and would growl at when he came near. I didn't tell her that Tasker is a VERY GOOD judge of character and if he doesn't like him THERE is a REASON!!!!!!
