Hurricane season starts in a week and being in Louisiana after Katrina & Rita hit us last year, I am starting to prepare. Got my updated video of the house and the contents, copies of all my husband's medical records, all the papers together in case we have to evacuate, etc... But just in case my house blows down or gets cremated by either of the 100+ year old oak trees in the yard... Anybody got a house I could stash a couple of sheepies for a few weeks if needed?
I am probably over reacting but I would rather have some sort of plan than nothing at all especially in light of what happened here last year.

I don't know that I can offer room and board, wer're barely around as it is! But as an emergency services person, THANK YOU for having a head on your shoulders and planning ahead! If more people were like you it would be so much easier for those of us who have to come in during the OMG time and deal with what needs to happen!
By the way, I think there is some space available with some Michigan people.  |
Don't know if I have enough room for extra two leggeds, but can probably figure something out for the four leggeds.  Seriously, just let me know, I will do the best I can. I am not that far away. |
