My mom is in the hospital

Today was bad enough. Last night my air conditioner froze over. I call the maintenance man-they fix it. Except, I wake up this morning and the house is HOT! My electricity is off. 8O Come to find out the air conditioner was leaking on the water heater which caused the main circuit breaker to trip. Needless to say I was late for work sorting out the mess with the maintenance men (who had come by on monday to FIX the air conditioner leak.  ) Also, they are raising my rent to levels it is NOT worth it to pay. So I have to find somewhere else to live (and most places down here only take small animals  ) Then I get to work and my grandmother tells me that a friend of my mom's called and my mom is in the hospital. The worst part about this is the fact that she's in Georgia and I'm in Florida.

Top it all off with a dog (yes-this would be my angel  Louie) who is getting my attention by barking   . I can't let him go on and on because of my neighbors (and the neighborhood wide memo about pets-including excessive barking) so I have to acknowledge him (out of paranoia I'll be kicked out).

My, that's alot of evil smilies in one post. Do you think I need a vacation?

Brutal! Any news on your mom's condition?
I hope your mom's situation and all of your complications work out for the best!
I hope your Mom is okay. I thought your Mom was in Florida too, no?

She's supposed to be. That is a long very complicated story. She's not permanently staying in Georgia.

I spoke with her this evening. The doctor's don't know what's wrong with her (but that is not new  ) She was apparently taken last night in an ambulance because she was in so much pain.
I hope things get better and your mom's ok. At least you can let Louie bark all he wants if you plan on moving.
Thanks everyone.

I just can't. I'm such a goody two shoes-I don't want my neighbors mad at me
Plus you really can't do that until the new place has checked your references...

well that too. but even when that is all settled I still won't let him go crazy.
I hope your Mom is okay and you get your living situation worked out... we are here in GA. if there is anything we can do to help, please let us know...
Good luck with everything. Ever thought of moving a couple hours up north?
When it rains it pours :( Sorry to hear about everything. I hope your Mom is ok, and your house is nice and cold tonight.
We have a nice separate apartment behind the garage. Would be more than happy to evict current tenant (friend of my husband's  ) and have a OES move in :excited: .

Aw, that is a bad day  Hopefully things will sort themselves out!
Hope things get better for you and your mom!
I hope things get better for you FAST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Geez....that really was a bad day!! I hope your Mom gets better soon, Jamie, and that her condition is nothing serious. And I hope Louie gives you a break! :D
Wow! Hope your mom's doing better. And hope you find a new place to live soon. Keep your chin up!
Oh Jamie that bites! I am soo sorry and I hope it gets better! If there is anything that I can do to help, let me know!
Jamie....Hope your day is getting better! Kisses..xo
Yuck. What a yucky day. I hope your mom feels better soon...and tell Louie to SHAPE UP!!
Hope things get better soon!
Well, I have no updates. They brought in a specialist to see her. :|

Thank you all for your thoughts.
Jamie, any updates on your mom?

(Hope she is well and in good spirits.....you too!)
My mom is doing better. She is eating again and while they don't yet know exactly what is wrong she is going to be released this week (but still be under a doctor's care). However, my grandmother is now in the hospital and it is looking very much like cancer.

So I won't be around much in the next few days, weeks, or whatever. Just send good thoughts my mom's way, my grandmother's way, and especially for my grandfather who is completely falling apart.

Thank you.
My heart goes out to you! Try to take care of yourself.
Tons of white light your way! Sounds like the ladies in your family need it... hope all gets better for you and them real soon!!!!
My thoughts are with all of you....
Jamie, I'm so sorry. At least your mom is going to be released from the hospital...that's good news, right?
I'll be sending good thoughts down South for you...
Poor Jamie. I'm sorry you have all these worries. I hope things get better soon.
Yikes - too much for one day. I hope your mom is doing better and out of the hospital soon. Good thoughts heading your (and her) way.
Jamie,
I am so sorry to hear of the further family troubles. :(
Sending thoughts and prayers your way.
Jamie, I'm so sorry that your troubles continue :( Hope it all works out.
Oh dear. Bless your heart, Jamie!! I am so sorry to hear about your Grandmother. You & your family will be in my thoughts & prayers.

Please take care of yourself, too.
