Oops! I cut her eyelashes???

I was trimming around Allies eyes, while she was sleeping....SHe jumped a few times..After wards, I noticed one of the eyes is missing the long eye lashes! Will this hurt her? What about the whiskers on the sides of her mouth? I know when we had cats, they needed these to have balance and sensorys. My friend shaves his Boxers whiskers right off!
Any advice on this? Will the eye lashes grow back? I am sure no one else will notice

Chris, I think they'll grow back. Maybe you could ask a groomer to be sure but I wouldn't worry about it.
They grow back, I cut my sheepies' all the time. You'll feel them coming back. Like whisker but just higher up.
Sheepieboss, do you also cut the whiskers?? If you do not cut them, do they just keep getting longer? I think I would like the whiskers short...
Since I clip them down for the summer, everything gets clipped.

It's up to you how long you want the whiskers. I never clip or shave my Pyrs faces and their whiskers can get quite long. I enjoy tormenting them by tickling their whiskers  so I like them long.

I find cutting whiskers makes them coars and sharp, leave them be if you wish.

I personally trim everything like it's just hair. If it's too long, then snip! :o
The eyelashes will grow back. I think I cut some of Foz's off while he was sleeping too. I haven't really noticed whiskers yet on him, but the other day I noticed this long "hair" sticking straight out from Annie's muzzle. I tried to tuck it back in, but it made another appearance later on that day. I did pull it out and it was definitely a whisker as it was much more coarse than her other hairs 8O . It was just so strange to see one on her for the first time.
When Pepsi's coat was really long I noticed his eyes look odd and he was blinking a lot.
I realized his eye lashes were getting caught in his fur going over his eyes. So I cut them and all was good. If I didn't cut them they'd probably just keep growing.
Maybe just be a little more diligent about keeping the eyes clean. Our human eyelashes help to keep dust and dirt out of our eyes but I don't know if it's the same with dogs. Hmmmm
When I shave my dogs down everything goes and it's never been a problem.... don't worry about it, they'll grow back. :)
