Naptime

The first time I got sick, Duke expressed his concern by spazzing out, barking through the night, and having an accident in the house.

This time I had to stay home and exhausted as I was, I went to take a nap. He left me alone to go sleep on the cool tile of the living room. The first time I woke up, he was in bed with me, looking over his shoulder with his ears perked high (like he knows I love) as if asking if it was okay that he'd joined me. I laughed and fell back asleep. By the time the sun was shining through my window making it too hot to sleep, he was on his back using my leg as a pillow of sorts, and I woke to find his hindpaws in my face. I think he was a lot more comfortable than I was. ;)

Have to say, I like this a whole lot better than the first time. He makes a good nap buddy.

awww good boy Duke!....I personally find Panda a bed hog....so she gets kicked off after about a half hour :D
:yay: Yay for Duke!!

Pepsi and Rags are always good for me when I lie down.
I think because they know I am sick. If I don't nap during the day I am good for nothing. Pepsi will lie next to me on hubby's side by the foot of the bed, but always has to be touching me or have some part of his body against mine.
Ragsy would rather be up right next to me usually with her head on me or hubby's pillow. And Peanut sleeps at the curled up on the edge of the bed by hubby's night table.
They know when it's nap time and usually go into the bedroom to wait for me.

Rags will protest sometimes if she is not ready to nap she will bulldoze me with her head and lick, lick, lick my face.
That is such a cute picture!
MO was always my nap buddy. Now it is all three which means once again I have no room on the bed or I have to nap in the recliner.

Feet in face, yup, that sounds right. The good part is you can run your hand and arm between the 2 rear legs and give good belly rubs.

Harry and Jacklike to share the pillow or use my head or shoulder as a pillow,

At least it's skinny. Toby lays with his fat butt on my head.

Sheepieboss, I'm starting to feel guilty everytime I kick my dogs out of bed or make them rearrange on the couch for me. I always think that you are slated for sainthood whenever you say you let them go and take to the recliner.
I'm sure they feel the same way. In fact I must pick up throw rugs here and there because it is time to lay on the cold tile for the summer. Sooo, maybe some of the bed warmers will get down on the floor.....I can only wish.

The recliner is in my bedroom. There's also a couch there in addition to a queen bed. Never am I alone.
I can just picture it LOL, feet is better than something else in your face, which I've experienced :phew:
Daisy has decided not to sleep on the bed with me since the weather turned warm (hot for a while). My guess is that the warm water bed was too hot for her, but I miss having her there with me.

Hhowever Mork (the cat) has returned to sleeping with me and has to be curled up next to me at all times. If I move, he moves. It was easier w/ Daisy - although she was sometimes up next to me, if I moved she stayed put.
Came home from the pool dead tired. Laid down for nap. Awoke to a big black nose in my face, snoring. Jack.
LMAO  I woke up this afternoon to snoring, but it wasn't from Pepsi's nose.... EWW! lol
Louie has only just recently started to sleep on the bed. Before he would be on the bed if I was reading or something but lights out he got off to lay on his bed. Now he just moves up to the head of the bed to lay on a pillow . Not sure what changed to make him decide to do this...
Clyde lies on the bed like he's a human. If it's just him and me, he takes Jame's spot. He lies on his side, slides one paw under the pillow and lies his face on the pillow to face me-- which is exactly how I sleep. He'll never stay the night though. He jumps down to the floor next to me and sleeps in front of the fan. Bear likes to start out on the bed and then retires to bathroom for evening. Unlike Clyde, Bear doesn't undersatnd that the lumps under the covers are people that don't like to be stepped or jumped on.
....or sat upon or laid upon
