My lovely labrador has cancer ..

i didn't know where to post this to be honest and she's not lost yet.

Narla is 10 yr old golden lab, who is a family dog living with my parents, however, she is my baby, I looked after her, walked her, fed her, played wiht her, even though I never lived with my parents. I would get up early and drive the 10 miles to walk her in the morning before work and the same for lunchtimes and evenings.

About 6 years ago my parents moved to Spain and I said they should take Narla with them, as she loves the water and they have a pool of which she swins in every day, acres of land where she can have lovely walks etc. It broke my heart, but it I knew it would be good for her.

Narla goes into hospital to have her lump removed today and the vet said that she has a 70% survival chance, which is good.

When i got home last night, I hugged Ollie and kissed him and told him just how much I love him (I do this daily anyway) and I just looked at him and thought I hope you have a long life too.

I hope my little girl recovers and I should know more tomorrow

Don't give up hope! I lost my Beau in March to cancer, he lived for two years when we were told he had maybe six months. There are lots of things you can do for her, diet, supplements, etc.

Hang tough, Kayla. :hearts: Maggie, Nelson & I are keeping fingers and paws crossed for Narla's recovery.

It must be very difficult knowing she is ill and so far away in Spain.
Thinking of you!

Hi

Thanks for your messages

Narla has had her surgery and is currently being spoilt rotten laying on the sofa having her ears rubbed and nibbling on treats - she's also eating well and wagging her tail - phew.
I am glad all went well with the surgery with Narla, all I can say is keep faith and hope, I have been through the same thing with a very agressive tumour in a 7 year old, lump removed, three operations later to get all the abnormal cells in the surrounding tissue and radical treatment for months after that. She lived till 14 and at the time the prognosis was 6 months, maybe more!!

So thinking of you all and don't give up faith and hope as I did not and I had another 7 years to love & cherish my girl with
So sorry she is going through this. Hope she gets well!
