Does your sheepie do this?

I am curious if any other sheepie has this habit.

When we go for a walk, Baxter (my 2 yr old sheepie) likes to pounce on aluminum cans and bring one home with him. The interesting thing is that he only pounces on specific cans. He doesn't seem to like Coke or Pepsi cans or even water bottles. No....he prefers Budweiser cans - no other beer can seems to be acceptable. And he is absolutely gleeful when he finds one!

I'm not sure if it is the smell? The color? Or just that Baxter is in his "teenage boy" years.

By the way - he also passes up Budweiser light cans. I can't figure that one out either.

Ok, I can't resist:

1) Maybe he can smell the Clydesdales?

2) Nobody likes light beers.

3)Maybe he's looking for the nickel deposit for the beer can?
The deposits give the cans nice cents.

I think that is totally sheepie!
okay, I'm gonna bust a seam if i laugh any harder! That is so funny.....
LOL
Okay, I can't resist either. After shedding quite a few tears earlier updating myself on our Robin Rescue & Magnificant Maid Marianne. I loved running into this one tonite. Now I'm crying tears of laughter

I think Ron is onto something with the Clydesdale thing. Since I'm a great believer in reincarnation. Maybe we have a Clydesdale that has come back as a Sheepie. That would be going up a step in the ladder of life wouldn't it :?:
P. S.

THANK YOU JENNIFER & BAXTER. I NEEDED THAT !
LOL :D :D
I think he`s in his teens.....weren`t we all ....LOL
Oooohhh! I like the idea of a Clydesdale coming back as a sheepie. And the output is a lot less with a sheepie!

Anheuser Busch has a plant - complete with Clydesdales - on the other side of Merrimack. Perhaps I'll take Baxter there to see if any of the horses recognize him. Of course, he will probably go nuts with all the potential cans there.
Thanks guys. I needed a chuckle too! A sheepie as a reincarnated Clydesdale, and going for only the "classic" cans. Sounds plausible to me.
I still cannot get over our sheepies personalities!
I went shopping with hubby and bought all of these tools in boxes and bags (it was a tool show). Victor wanted to make sure all of the tools worked before the show moved on to Baytown.
Abbi went nosing through all the bags looking for something. Then she sat and begged. My husband scared me with this big laugh of his ...and he goes, "She's looking for her present!" Sure enough, she helped open all of the boxes. When the girls came home they did the same thing, looking for what we bought them? I guess we spoil are young uns more than I thought.
Victor did go to the store and buy them all a goodie. Couldn't believe it. Said it was because they did so well at their band and dance competitions...So why did Abbi get a new toy? Because she's cute.
Victor is such a push-over. I guess it was Christmas in April.
so cute!!! :P
Aging, I was wondering when you were going to catch up with us on this one. I expected you days ago :!:

This still makes me laugh and I've retold this one at work and everyone has gotten a good chuckle with it too.

Jen & Baxter, I do think you ought to check in with that plant over in Merrimac. You know, they might be looking for someone to star in the next Super Bowl Bud commercial and I bet Baxter might be right up there with the talking frogs. especially if they think he may be a Clydesdale reincarnated
yesterday Pisco made me have a very akward moment at the pet shop/groomers we go to.....I was talking to them about a new collar for Pisco....I didn`t notice Pisco trying to get one of the bones (rawhide) ....well he did  ...as I was leaving (well I left for a block) ..... a looked down at PIsco and he had something on his mouth...looked closely and sure it was a bag full of small bones!!!! ....I had to go back and tell them....and off course since it was all wet from saliva I had to buy it
I am so predictable ..
Well I will not be back for 4 days. Easter weekend we will be going on a trip ...with Abbi of course.
Way to go VERO. Maybe Pisco is a reincarnated kid. Mine did that a couple of times. And they thought they were free samples too, until I made them pay for them... :?
I found myself laughing out loud with Robin eyeing me funny while reading your post Jennifer, and all those post that followed.

I'm thinking Baxter must be getting in his teens and trying to challenge authority and sneak a few beers....tsk tsk. Whatever you do don't give in to his indulgence and buy him any! Oh apologies for the lame humor!

Thanks for sharing this story, Jennifer
I think that Puddy has been reading the forum when I am not home! Last night on our walk, he too found a Bud can (not sure if this is his preference yet). He picks it up, throws it to himself and then catches it. Do you think that maybe the two critters of ours could have been seperated at birth? Until I read this post, his favor toy at home had been an empty milk jug. I guess he went straight to the hard stuff from the milk.
