Huggs debut as a speech topic went AWESOME. Everyone loved him... Of course! My topic was OLd English Sheepdogs (what else?) and it was an informative speech and a little persuasive. I brought my three year old to demonstrate how Huggs lets Joseph lead him around the room, comes to the kids and lets the kids brush him. (I did have reservations about how well Joseph would listen though LOL... truly, you can have a well trained dog and its the kids who dont listen..... and Joseph is pretty disagreeable sometimes) Anyways, so... I did my speech (Joseph in the back of me touching things.... but it wasnt too bad. This is Huggs first time doing something and being the center of attention like this. He was great, he laid at my feet and sat next to me when we were up talking. Toward the end Joseph did exactally as I asked and brushed Huggs and (tried) to lead him aroudn the room, Huggs got excited and pulled him over... but we did it again and it worked out.
As for the shaving question, maybe I will see if he likes to be shaved..... and will forgoe it if he does not. He is old enough to decide..... (wish the kids were!)
Huggs got neutered today.... I know its the right thing to do... I feel awful!!! He seems ok though......

Liz,
Sounds like the class went well, unfortuantely Huggs reward left a little bit to be desired.

They say never appear with a child or animal or they will upstage you! LOL I think you'd have a big advantage over your classmates regarding your topic!!!
Who couldn't resist a cute child and Sheepie? I'm willing to bet you got top marks!!
