This guy has his adoption pending :)
Hi!
We're Bart's "adoption pending" family. We get to meet him this weekend.
I'll post again after we all meet and decide if he's the boy for us. He sounds like a great OES, and can't wait to see him!
:yay: Yay Dawn!
I hope everything works out and Bart can become part of your family.
You should also become part of our family here at OES.org.
We just love pictures and stories :D
Welcome Dawn :) Bart sounds like a great dog, all paws crossed for a happy meeting.
Bart has officially joined our family. He is a handsome boy with a cute sheepie face. I will get some pics of him and then figure out your posting system!
In some ways he reminds us of our ATB OES, Oliver, but he is different enough in others to make his own way. He has met the other dogs, granddaughter and the horses. Next he needs to meet the sheep- should be fun.
Now that I have Bart, I need to get a real name and quit being a lurker on the forum!
:yay: Woo Hoo... Bart has a furever home!!! YAY for Dawn!:go:
I can't wait to hear all about him and to see pictures!
Hi, I am Bart's new human, along with husband Todd. I work as an RN, also teach dog training, am an evaluator with AKC's CGC and with Therapy Dogs International. We are dog lovers, we actually met in dog training classes! We have 3 grown kids.
We live on a farm, and raise sheep. We had Oliver, an OES and he was the such a help. We learned how to train a herding dog to herd right along with him!
Bart is about 2 1/2 yrs old. One of my daughters is going to start obedience classes with him later this month. She hopes he has the ability to be her therapy dog.
We also have 2 labs, 2 min pins, a rat terrier pup and a rescue basset hound from Basset Buddies Rescue. Simon the basset is my current therapy dog, and we are going for our Rally Novice title.
Besides the sheep, we have a llama, 2 horses and a pony. The equines are all rescue animals and are doing great. Also 2 cockatiels, and fish - in an aquarium and ponds.
Thats quite a crew you got there. :D
Wow! I'm nearly speechless!

Welcome to the forum to you, the gang (and especially) Bart! Thanks for saving him!
Me too...WOW!! You've got your hands full, that's for sure!

Welcome!! Thanks for giving Bart a great home!!
WELCOME! Just reading how much action you have at home is making me dizzy! I'm so happy that Bart has a wonderful new home and lots of buddies to play with.
Thanks for the welcomes!
We are always busy - our friends just laugh. I usually get the comment "when do you sleep?!"
Bart is doing awesome. He was pretty quiet and subdued last evening. He is getting his bounces back, and is checking everything out. Our dogs are very dog friendly, and Bart is too. He already sniffed noses with the horses, and went out in the pasture with the pony. He "helped" feed our bottle baby lambs this morning too!
We are both off work through tomorrow, so this is a good time to help Bart bond and settle into the new routine. He's outside helping Todd redo our large pond, so he's having a good time.
We are a happy OES family again - it feels good!
