Murphy's Law strikes again!

After 9 months of preparation, the big events begin next Sunday for Barney and Maggie - their first of 3 scheduled novice obedience trials May 7, 13 & 14. All looks good and promising; at a sho & go last weekend Barney did great and Maggie was good till the recall when she wanted to pass me by - not a big deal since most of the time she's perfect - a little more intensive repetition this week should solve the problem....then last night after cutting the grass, I let the guys romp in the area. Later that evening we started to go for a walk and I noticed Maggie was favoring her right paw and limping! Cancelled the walk. This morning it was no better; had our final workout with the trainer and limited her just to a recall which she did 2 times perfectly. Then to the vet to look at her paw - no breaks, probably a sprain or pulled tendon. She's now on anti-inflaminatory medicine and rest in hopes the condition improves by Sunday.

Need your prayers please.

Oh, no! Get better soon Maggie. You don't want all your work to go to waste-- or George's! ;)
Awww, poor Maggie! How about a warm epsom salt bath? Hope she feels better soon. :plead:
Oh dear! :plead:

Maggie - hope you're better soon! Prayers for you & George!
Oh No!

I hope maggie is feeling better real soon. Hopefully she just needs a few days of R and R to get back to 100%!
Thats too bad for Maggie

I hope she gets well soon...all her hardwork deserves to be seen :hearts:

Amanda
aww, poor girl. Hope she's feeling better soon.
Poor baby! Hope she heals quickly and can get in the ring again!
Sounds like you are doing fantastic with them! :)
Great job :)

I hope her foot heals fast....
Thanks for the well wishes. I wonder if giving her the medication with about 2 fingers of scotch will enhance it's effectiveness. Then again maybe keep her on the medicine and me on the scotch. :D
hope maggie gets well soon. Good luck with the trials at the weekend. Boos got her first obedience comp next weekend so i know how much hard works goes into the training . looking forward to hearing how well you all done. :D :D
Poor Maggie!!!
George,
I hope Maggie feels better in time. :plead:
Good Luck to Barney and Maggie! :cheer:
I hope all these warm wishes and hugs get to you Maggie!!!
Warm Wishes too that maggie will get to the big event, :plead:

Especially for you too with all the hard work in training you have put in so far :(

Hoping her medication will kick in quick and she will be off and running on the day :cheer:
Hope she heals quickly. I know how hard it is to keep a sheepie quiet.
GET WELL MAGGIE. Good luck in the competition.
The Rimadyl antiinflamatory is doing wonders; she wasn't limping this morning and did well in her work out this afternoon; however no walks and not roughhousing with Barney. I keep them separated now while at work during the day.

Novice B begins at 9am Sunday with 25 dogs, followed by Novice A (14 dogs) Maggie is first in the Novice A event, Barney is 8th so they won't do their group sit and down together. Hopefully will have pics posted Sunday evening with good results.
Rags, Pepsi and I will be cheering you on from California :cheer:
We'll be cheering from OZ too, best of luck george and doggies, can't wait to see the pictures (Make sure there is lots  )
Poor Maggie!! Feel better!!!!!!!
