Frida has come... and gone

Sofi's sister (http://forum.oes.org/viewtopic.php?t=755) Frida arrived to our home last week after her mommy approached us and asked us if we could take care of her too... How could we refuse?
Frida was going to be sold, but she could not do it, and if we did not take her she could have ended in the street 8O So, she came along.

She's all hyper and fun, likes to run along with Lennon and Sofi in the park whenever we let them out. Her character is very loving and she's always looking for ways to get your attention, her furry pays always find your chest and she's always ready to lick your face. You can meet her here: http://www.dogster.com/dog_page.php?i=23827&j=t

2 days after she arrived she scared the hell out of us, she started vomiting and looking sick and down, so we ran to the vet to see what's wrong with her. My wife was very scared that it may be contagious and that she could pass it to Lennon and Sofi. So I ran to the vet all worried and he checked her. He said that she was eating grass and was reacting to the stress of a new home and that she was OK... :D What a relief.

Having 3 sheepies at home is a real challenge... But lots of fun, they really make you wish you had a monkey tail to do 3 things at the same time, and god forbid if they all want to greet you at the same time!!! :?

We tried not to get too involved with her because our sister in law was going to provide a place for her to stay (Our yard is not big enough for 3 sheppies to live comfortably) and Frida was staying with us while we evaluated her to see if it was children safe... But how could you not fall in love with her when she looks at you and says "Love me!!! Pleeaasse???" So we ended up getting involved  and felt tempted to adopt her permanently too (Sigh)

Yesterday they came and picked her up... With great sadness in our hearts and a few tears from us her new dad picked her, and there she goes to a new home where 2 kids will give her all the love and caring that she deserves. I talked to them in the morning and the kids didn't even want to go to school, the were very happy that they got a "Lennon" of their own. and that accounts for all the sadeness that I felt when she left.

We're very happy that things ended up that way, another OES has a happy home where she will be loved. We'll still be caring for Frida regardless of where she lives, because she's our third sheepie daughter and a member of our OES family!! (That gives us an excuse to visit more often, 'cuz 3 shippies in action is something you just gotta see!)

My family is so jealous. You have two sheepies and a built-in relative sheepie to visit!

Sheepies in action? Sort of like this: Image

If you look, you can see both of her rear feet are off the ground.

Maybe we could find another sheepie or ... (sigh).

Way to go! I actually can see how you would be a bit sad.
Great to read about Frida...to have 3 sheepies in the same home must have been incredible! Elby and I are so jealous! 8)

What a great service you've done for Frida :D
Hi

You must miss her very much even if she was with you only a short time. I hope she does get a chance to meet with her sister and new brother often. You did an incredible thing to take them in , what a big heart you and your wife must have. Please let us know hows she's doing when you see her next time?
