Weekend full of "firsts"

Oh my but we had an eventful "first's" weekend.
First "first": The horses in the pasture next to us came over by the fence to visit Dexter - oh goodness !!!!! he tried and tried to "herd" those beast - but dang it - barking at them thru the fence just wouldn't make em move................

Second "first": Garden hose!!!!!! was filling up the water buckets in the front yard with the garden hose.... oh my - look at all that "stuff" shooting out - I better go tame it so Mom is safe............ - Dexter spent 20 minutes trying to bite the water - - - lol

Third "first": Soccer Game!!!!! now this was an experience!!!! - Dexter traveled the 30 minutes to the game w/o getting car sick - YEAH!!! - then when we got there he got really, really unhappy with me cuz this man kept running back and forth in front of us waving that dang flag....... (the side ref of course) and dang it I wouldn't let Dexter off his lease to go "help" this person......... finally he decided I wasn't going to give in and just laid down beside my chair and watched...... then when we were leaving several people stopped us to pet Dexter - and one lady even stopped me and asked if he was a "labro-doodle" - I smiled and said "no - he's an OES with a bad hair cut" - Dexter wasn't in the least bit offended....

wonder what next weekend will hold?????

Hope you have a good day.

Awwww - the joy of looking at the world through fresh eyes - I love it!!
How funny! Isn't it great watching their little minds at work?? Dexter is such a cutie - enjoy every minute with him!
Fun! I love your and Dexter's enthusiasm! I get asked the doodle question all the time about Maggie. Today, probably because of her haircut, I was asked if she is a Borzoi. 8O
What a fun weekend!! I always get asked (usually by little kids) if Louie is the Shaggy Dog.
We shared one of those firsts this week, as well -- the chasing the hose water. I was outside the fence watering the plants and Blue was going crazy. I just figured it was because he could hear me but not get to me. But as soon as I came back inside, he went bonkers for the hose. It was hysterical. He'd chase the stream all around the yard, then bite his way up the stream. He was soaked and muddy by the end, but it was so cute. Unfortunately, that's a game that can only be played on bath days.
