What made you smile today?

We all appear to have very crazy, hectic lives. It seems this is becoming the norm. It is amazing how finding just one thing to put a smile on your face can make the rest of the day go better.

This is yesterdays smile but, since my morning is just starting, I thought I would post it anyway.

Out in the grass was a little girl about 5 or 6.
She was twirling. Round and round she went till she fell down. She got back up and began again. Arms stretched out and face to the sun. What a joy to see her. It makes me smile all over again to write about it. For my smile today, I just might go twirl myself!

Hmmm Louie is usually my first smile of the day. He's such a goofball. Specific example: I time my mornings for maximum sleep while giving me plenty of time to eat breakfast while I check my email (and this forum  ). While I'm doing this Louie sits on his chair and tries to entice me away from the computer to come pet him (I'm being serious-he has a whole routine of looking cute). Part of this routine involves rolling over onto his back (cause yanno the tummy is hard to resist) However, he usually lays too close to the edge and ends up rolling off. He does this no less than three times a week. You'd think he'd learn-roll the other way! But it does get me up to go pet him... :D
I went to the spring show up at my college (Land Based studies College, gardening, floristry wtc courses, and Animal Care, which is what i'm studying) it was a trade show type thing...

Being a recent Dog-Lover convert, I was thrilled to see all the dogs people brought with them  and there was a retired greyhound rescue stall, so there were lots of greyhounds walking around, very pleasant!

Also I saw a donkey on a field on the way home  my mum thought I was a bit wierd: "DONKEY!!!!!"
My 10 1/2 wks old daughter's first smile and cooing of the day always puts a smile on my face...and the giggling makes me laugh along with her...lol!
Every morning, fifteen minutes before the alarm goes off, my 4-foots jump up on the bed for a start the day cuddle. One on each side of me and one in the curve of my legs. It's really nice on cold mornings.

I finally figured out that they actually pay attention to the furnace/air conditioner coming on in the morning (we have setback thermostats) rather than knowing the day of the week. I still think it's smart on their part.
Today watching Cinde's first trip from our home to a park. She was on leash (Long One) and smelling everything!!! We walked a 1/2 mile and she was pooped. Back to the car and home again. She LOVED it. That me me smile :o :o :o
Every morning when I wake up make me smile :)
Sunshine, 58 degrees and the radio up as loud as it will go :D
My daughter makes me smile every day with her happy smiles in the morning. My son gave me a really good laugh when he told my sister that she needed a man. After she told him that a lizard got into her house and she was freaking out and screaming. He said Amy, You need to find a man to take care of those things for you.... lmao
He's 7 yrs old!
aww, too cute.

Well, we couldn't take Jasper camping with us. There was just no room at all for him in the suv. :( We ended up having my little brother stay at our house and watch him over the weekend. Well, he was soooo happy to see us home. He was non-stop energy and kept running from one of us to the other and licking us. It seems like he missed us as much as we missed him. :D

Oh, and Brandon made me smile on the way home too. It was a 6.5 hour drive, so we let the kiddos watch DVDs the entire trip. One of the movies was Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, and he kept singing the song after it was over. It was too cute to hear him sing it!
My first smile of the day is due to Annie. She waits outside the bedroom door (Steve closes to let me sleep in). Annie does a happy spinning dance and runs downstairs in tne hopes of a treat. Always cracks me up!

That I didn't have to hear Holly sing along with the radio...

Just kidding! For me, having a new puppy in the house usually brings a smile to my face every day (as long as it doesn't include cleaning up something that came out of him!). Bear's huge and tries to do things a little guy his age would do. This morning, I found him sleeping with his head under the dog bed and Clyde was lying with his head on top. I went to the bathroom, came out and they had switched. If they weren't a different breed, I'd swear they were related!
I'll tell ya what gave me my first laugh of the day today -- a couple of stories on the "Ever do stupid things?" thread! lol

Taking Ollie for his walk at 6am, frosty field, no one about, but the sun just starting to come up - then letting Ollie off his lead and laughing out loud, cause he runs like a rabbitt !!
Rolling over and seeing my Hubby! Then going in and waking my boys!.............The little, little one always pops up (like toast in a toaster) pulls himself up on the side of the crib and gives me the nicest hugs every morning.....and my oldest always wake up with a smile on his face and says "morning Mommy, did you have the sweetest dreams?" love it!!! Wanna squish all three of my boys (Daddy, Josh & Micah)!!!! :hearts: :hearts: :hearts:
Getting up and watching Pippin wiggle his little bum- Always makes me smile!!!!

That and getting a free pond from my co-worker! Yay for free ponds!!!!

I would like to start a thread about what takes smiles off people's faces (like me not going to Hawaii)...

Have a good time, Darcy! Take lots of pictures for us!

My smile was watching the gold finches feed in my backyard and listening to them sing. :D

LMAO

What makes me smile every morning is the fact that the boys are always so happy to see you first thing in the morning... it's like you have been gone for days and days, but it was just while you were sleeping...

Recently, what brings a smile to my face, is a wigglie little girl name Sadie... I forgot how silly puppies can be... Everything is joy to them, a blade of grass, a twig.. an old brown leave, left over from last year blowing in the wind...everything is an adventure and they want you to join them on it...
