Measuring for curtains??

I've picked out curtains for my bedroom. Each panel measures 50Wx63L. My window is 60x60. Obviously I need 2 panels, but will that be too much curtain? I want the curtains mainly for the added color--the window already has mini-blinds for light dimming/privacy.

Here they are. I'm going to get Stormy Blue.

Those are pretty. I don't think it will be too much.
I think the norm is to get about twice the window width.
I have no idea as I am hopeless with things like that :P

Just wanted to say the curtains look lovely and the colour is too
Generally speaking when measuring for curtains for proper fullness you need 2 1/2 times the width. So for a 100 inch window you would need 250 inches of curtains. But if you dont want to(or need to) close them...then that rule doesnt apply
I would order the minimum needed...you can always re-order more if they arent full enough to your liking.
I just ran a comparison: each of my panels are 35" or so. When pulled back and stacked, they are no more than 14" wide. Each tab on top is nearly touching....I could probably get them closer and have less stack (that's the compressed curtin term). Does that help?
Paula, as Angel said, you want at least double the width of the window...It tends to look better fuller, than not full enough.
