A Portentionous Proclamation!!!!
Dear friends... It is with GREAT JOY (and immense releif) that I introduce to all of you the newest canine member of OES.org... INTRODUCING... 
"Wynsilot's Shadowfax The Divine" Call name... PIPPIN That's right, my baby boy is officially home, has a name, and is at this moment downstairs with my hubby!!!! WOOOOOOHOOOOOOOO 
It finally happened! I have my very own Old English Sheepdog! And look at what a cutie he is!!!! We did get our first choice male, and what a wonderful boy he is. Except for a little whining (which was much better when I went back and sat next to him) and a potty incident in the crate on the way home, he was a perfect angel! I wanted to thank all of you, who have been so supportive and helpful the last 3 years, putting up with my questions, and my raging sheepie fever! I'm sure I'll be bugging the daylights out of all of you, as Mike and I try to raise the best sheepie we can- but at least, now I finally have cute puppy pictures to trade for it 
I'll get back in touch with all of you later- I'm gonna go PLAY WITH MY DOG! |

I am SO happy for you!!! I think it was my favorite dog out of all the pics. I've always wanted a doggie with markings on both sides. WHAT an adorable dog. Come back soon and tell us how the first day went, the drive, etc, etc

Thanks guys! We're in puppy love up here in MN! Pippin is such a doll so far! He's eating great (2 meals already!) no tummy troubles yet (thank goodness), we only missed one potty (Ahem, Daddy wasn't watching closely enough while I was on the forum)
The cats... yeah, not so much. They're pretty much hiding out, and coming down when he takes a nap They'll get over it. He only has looked at them so far, has not been naughty AT ALL! He's SUCH a love bug!!!! He loves to cuddle, and he wins hearts instantly (how could he not, with that face???) My dad came over to trade cars w/ Christina, and instantly said how cute he was  Well of course!!! He's my baby
I'm gushing over here!!! I'm just so, so delighted!!! I'll probably be going on like this for quite some time to come. I'll try to be a little more coherent tomorrow.... Pip's playing with his squeaky sheepie... which means I gotta run and catch up on his royal cuteness!!!

When we got Frank we kept seeing pix of the litter, and there was one that we absolutely loved in the photo. We were told the breeder was picking the pup out for us. I didn't even tell her which one we wanted because I really was happy to get any puppy. Sure enough, she handed us the one we wanted with the black eye patch and black crown on his head! |

We've had a great day #2! Still eating great, although we have had some accidents  We just need to get a handle on the subtle signals he's sending out for potties 
And um, the crating last night was a NIGHTMARE!!!!!So there ya go Bosley's Mom... I kept saying to myslef " be strong, be strong"... but after 7 hours of screaming and crying at the top of his lungs, not to mention hacking and scratching at the door (even with 3 potty breaks during the night)... I gave in. I was a bad mommy and put him in bed with us  Naturally he went right to sleep, and I had to wake him at 7am for potty and breakfast! I guess nobody is perfect... sigh, not even one tutored by the best!!! (Somebody tell me this crating gets better?????????)
The kittes are getting a LITTLE bit braver, not much. Bell came and sniffed him while he slept. Thats about the extent if it. Pip's sitting on my lap right now and wants to say "hi" to all his new fans!!!! We just had to get our forum fix in before we went back to playing!!! Cute Pippin pic for the day:

| Awww, that is the sweetest picture!! Must be framed!! A hint for potty training that I did with Panda.... I took her outside every 20 min or so...and kept saying "gp potty"...when she did. gave her a treat and went back inside...it took no time to train her... |

What I did was put the crate IN our bedroom. The first time, the crate was close enough that I could put my finger inside to comfort her. It helped her a lot. Although... I can't remember (getting it mixed up with my maltese), Yuki may have spent the first night in the kitchen. I am pretty sure he came in the bedroom in the crate, but with all the dogs I foster.. the first few days, I just ignore the crap out of them at night. Of course I've been lucky and each time ...Mr. J hasn't been home to hear the crying dogs (he would cave and try to get the dog in the same room...however, I am very much a "this is what i say...and this is always what i mean... end of story" person). |
| He's getting better in the crate slowly but surely. today is the 1st day he'll be crated for more then 3 hours at a time I'm having new puppy mommy guilt pains from going to work today!

I had to share- I was playing with him last night after potty break, getting him ready to go back to sleep. He rolled over, and I realized he has a heart shaped spot right on his chest! It is the cutest thing I've ever seen(The romantic in me says it is fate!)!!! I'm gonna try to take a picture of it tonight when I get home! I love my Pippin!!! |
